It’s not very often you see a three-episode documentary series last that long on top of Netflix’s top 10 list, as that’s more or less the length of a movie and people move on pretty quick. But Dancing for the Devil: The 7M TikTok Cult had been at #1 for at least a week before it finally got knocked down today.

The new show that has unseated it is the second season of Perfect Match, a Netflix reality show starring hot people who must strategize how to “make or break” matches on the show. We only see a small handful of Netflix dating shows make it to #1 on the service, and that’s usually only just Love is Blind. But I know that Netflix would love to have even more shows like that make it big, given that they’re so cheap to make. And Perfect Match feels like a much more raunchier series that’s almost purely about sex appeal and not “getting to know personalities in the pods” like we see in Love is Blind.

The rest of the list has licensed show Your Honor at #3, which is doing pretty well. That might bode well for future seasons of that show elsewhere. The final season of Sweet Tooth is at #4, not amazing, but at least it got to finish its story. That’s actually a very popular series on Netflix overall, though you wouldn’t know it. Netflix original Eric with Benedict Cumberbach has not done very well, and is sitting at #5 after never making it to #1. Of course Bridgerton is still around, hanging out at #7, and will rocket back up to the top when the rest of its season 3 episodes arrive on June 13, just three days from now.

As for Dancing with the Devil, Netflix True Crime docs usually do pretty well, but sometimes ones break out more than others. I feel like Making a Murderer is the high water mark for something like that, but it appears the TikTok Cult has struck a nerve with some. Though the end of that real life story makes it seem like justice was not really done in the end.

I would not expect Perfect Match to last longer than a few days given that Bridgerton is going to return. But as a reality show, it is airing in batches with three more episodes on June 14 and the finale on June 2.
