Back in September 2025, a pair of wireless earbuds was launched with little fanfare or fuss. The new Beo Grace earbuds from Bang & Olufsen combine a slim aluminum design with what the company’s describes as “outstanding sound performance.” The earbuds were designed to embody everything that has made the iconic Danish audio brand a genuine trendsetter with a track record of more than a century of innovation.

Beo Grace earbuds unite acoustic innovation with a timeless design and Danish craftsmanship as only Bang & Olufsen can. The earbuds fuse the inspiration of fine jewelry with miniaturized audio innovation to create a big and open sound from a pair of earbuds that are small enough to slip into a pocket.

“Beo Grace is more than a new product; it is a symbol of the century ahead,” says Bang & Olufsen. “They are crafted from our signature aluminum; it distils everything Bang & Olufsen has stood for since 1925: uncompromising sound, enduring craftsmanship, and timeless beauty. With Beo Grace, we are bringing our heritage of acoustic ingenuity into a form you can wear — a piece of design sculpture that ushers in a new era of wearable sound.”

Craft Meets Sculpture

The Beo Grace earbuds are described as a “study in wearable sculpture with a look that inspired by the elegance of fine jewelry.” The aluminum stems on the earbuds hark back to Bang & Olufsen’s iconic A8 wired earphones, bringing the distinctive metal stem design into today’s era of true wireless earbuds.

Each earbud is made from polished aluminum and housed in a pearl-blasted charging case made from natural aluminum. The case design draws its inspiration from fine silver jewelry by Danish silversmith Georg Jensen, with a stylishly portable shape. The seamless design features a hidden charging window and a hinge that enables easy opening.

The shape of the Beo Grace earbuds was created for optimal performance and comfort, even when worn for extended periods. The shape of the ear-tips was given an oval profile to provide a more comfortable fit in the ear canal and an effective acoustic seal. With a dust and waterproof rating of IP57, the earbuds can also shrug off moisture and sweat, whether jogging in the rain or enduring a punishing workout.

Up To 17 Hours Playback

A full charge of the earbuds will provide up to 4.5 hours of playback time with the ANC function turned on. With the backup power in the charging case, the total play time increases to 17 hours. Not perhaps the best battery life on the market, but what these earbuds may lack in playback time, they more than make up for in sound quality and they do so without support for aptX Adaptive audio codec.

There are also some clever design details, such as the hidden metal speaker grilles, a nod to Bang & Olufsen’s ethos of designing products outside in and inside out with an eye for detail. The ear tips include an integrated nylon mesh that keeps the drivers safe from dust and debris, ensuring they offer a long life.

Bang & Olufsen has also crafted a soft, premium leather pouch, which is offered as an optional accessory that wraps around Beo Grace’s aluminum charging case. Would be nice for the case to be included. The case is available in Infinite Black, Cranberry Red and Seashell Grey. The case has a discreet USB charging opening as well as an elegant shoulder strap and refined clasp.

Engineered For Sound

Beo Grace earbuds have been designed around a new acoustic architecture that was tuned by Bang & Olufsen’s tonmeisters to deliver a sound that offers a remarkable level of fidelity. Inspired by the acoustic principles behind Bang & Olufsen’s Beoplay H100 headphones, Beo Grace deliver high-quality sound and advanced digital noise cancellation.

The earbuds use 12mm titanium drivers that have been carefully located behind precision-milled aluminum grilles. Beo Grace also supports Spatial Audio for a more natural listening experience with stereo content optimized for Dolby Atmos.

As with most earbuds these days, Beo Grace support Adaptive Active Noise Cancellation, bringing a new era of quiet for Bang & Olufsen earphones. The designers claim the ANC offers four times the amount of effective noise-canceling performance than the brand’s previous best earbuds. What’s more, Beo Grace can do this without hiss and the unnatural feeling of pressure in the ear like some earbuds. The result, say the designers, is a sense of calm.

EarSense Technology

Bang & Olufsen’s new EarSense technology automatically adapts sound and ANC performance in real time by detecting ambient noises while measuring the unique acoustic signature of the wearer’s ear. The sound and level of silence is tailored to produce a personalized escape.

The earbuds also use advanced wind reduction technology to reduce the impact of the surrounding environment. An array of three microphones in each earbud provides voice calls with more clarity and clearer voice pickup even when outside or in busy environments.

Whether you’re listening to music, taking calls or switching between awareness and focus with using the TrueTransparency feature, Beo Grace are designed to deliver a natural experience with clarity, balance and control. It’s clear the designers at Bang & Olufsen genuinely believe they have designed an exceptional pair of earbuds and I wouldn’t argue. On paper, the specs may look nothing special, but I think anyone who listens to them will soon make up their mind about the sound quality.

Intuitive By Design

Bang & Olufsen says Beo Grace are the brand’s most intelligent earbud to date because the design pushes the boundaries of what miniaturization and technology can achieve together.

The earbuds are designed to integrate seamlessly with the user’s life, thanks to a host of new technology and innovation that functions seamlessly. For example, Beo Grace can virtualize any stereo mix with optimization for Dolby Atmos recordings. The result with Atmos is a more natural listening experience that’s a little like listening to music played through a pair of high-quality loudspeakers.

The half dozen studio-grade microphones are the power behind Bang & Olufsen’s most advanced version of Adaptive Active Noise Cancellation. The ANC can adjust in real time to take account of environmental changes and automatically fine tunes the performance to deliver the strongest level of noise blocking without marring the music.

True Transparency

A new TrueTransparency feature builds on the technology first used in Beoplay H100 headphones. By using studio-grade microphones, the earbuds can feed the surrounding soundscape directly into the listener’s ears with a sense of realism that’s free from any hiss or distortion. Bang & Olufsen says it makes the world sound “exactly as it should.”

Instead of touch controls or clickable buttons, Beo Grace use force sensors inside the solid aluminum tube of each earbud to create a feel like a mechanical click. Press to play or pause, skip forward or back and switch between Active Noise Cancellation and Transparency. Each press is designed to be crisp, deliberate and satisfying. The technology is more secure and tactile than touch controls.

NearTap is another clever feature that lets the user adjust the volume level using simple taps of the finger in front of the ear. Tapping on the right temple increases volume, while a tap on the left decreases the sound levels.

Longer Battery Longevity

While the playback time may not be the longest in class, Beo Grace can deliver up to 2.5 hours of playback time from just 5 minutes charging. When fully charged, Beo Grace earbuds offer up to 4.5 hours of listening time, which increases to 17 hours with the charge in the storage case, more than enough for a return transatlantic flight.

To ensure maximum battery longevity, Bang & Olufsen has partnered with Breathe, a leader in battery intelligence to introduce innovative technology in Beo Grace. The partnership aims to remove the constraints of battery service life through advanced power handling.

At the heart of Beo Grace is a custom-designed battery management system that has surpassed 2,000 charge cycles in internal testing. This, claims Bang & Olufsen, sets a new benchmark in earbud performance and compares favorably with the 500 cycles that is standard in most consumer electronics.

Beo Grace features Bang & Olufsen’s new Amadeus Platform for wearables. The software platform is upgradable by design. Bang & Olufsen says that Beo Grace will continue to evolve with the user through software updates, offering improved performance and experiences over time.
