The popularity of vinyl doesn’t seem to be slowing down, which is amazing considering how old the technology is and that we live in a digital age. It seems music lovers enjoy the hands-on experience of playing vinyl and the warm sound of analog music.

Now Gadhouse has launched its anticipated Mathis turntable, offering vinyl lovers a retro-inspired design with the latest digital technology for people new to vinyl as well as seasoned collectors.

At first glance, the Gadhouse Mathis looks like some of the minimalist turntables that first started turning up in the 1980s with models like the Rega Planar. The Mathis has plenty of retro charm with its polished wooden base, metal components and color options. A precision-engineered tonearm ensures vinyl records sound good without distortion or mistracking

Featuring a classic Audio-Technica ATVM95E cartridge mounted on a metal tonearm, the belt-driven turntable provides exceptional rotational stability, reducing unwanted vibrations for clearer playback.

The Mathis also has a built-in phono preamp, enabling users to connect directly to powered speakers or amplifiers without a phono stage. For those who already have a suitable amplifier, the preamp in the turntable can be turned off.

The motor in the Mathis can play LPs and singles at 33 1/3 and 45 RPM speeds. The signal from the vinyl can be streamed over Bluetooth to wireless speakers or headphones. The Bluetooth feature offers extra flexibility for users who want the warmth of vinyl on a modern sound system.

RCA line-out sockets enable the turntable to be used with stereo receivers or amplifiers which means both contemporary and vintage sound setups can be accommodated.

Pricing & Availability: The Gadhouse Mathis turntable is available now and costs $329 / £199.
