The new (“new”) Prophecy loot pool went live this week in Destiny 2, the third such refresh for the dungeon, a rare free-to-play offering for the game. Now, it has reworked, farmable weapons that are more relevant than they used to be. They only drop from certain encounters so you’ll want to know which ones, as well as the rolls you might want to be chasing.
So, the new loot table for weapons is as follows, along with what I think the best rolls are probably going to be for these:
Encounter 1: Phalanx Echo
- Prosecutor – Arc Auto Rifle – (Rewind Rounds/Target Lock, Dragonfly/Voltshot, Zen Moment/Tap the Trigger)
- Relentless – Strand Pulse Rifle (Slice/Hatchling, Rapid Hit/Desperado)
Encounter 2 – The Cube:
- Adjudicator – Kinetic SMG – (Subsistence/Rampage or Onslaught, Dynamic Sway Reduction/Target Lock, Threat Detector/Kinetic Tremors)
- Sudden Death – Void Shotgun – (Repulsor Brace, Destabilizing Rounds, Envious Assassin/Trench Barrel, Elemental Capactor/Opening Shot)
Emissary Rewards Chest: After Kell Echo Boss
- Darkest Before – Solar Pulse Rifle – (Subsistence/Incandescent, Heal Clip/Incandescent, Elemental Capactor/Headseeker)
- Judgement – Stasis Hand Cannon – (Whatever combination of Moving Target, Slideshot, Eye of the Storm and Opening Shot you want for PvP, I’d say nothing for PvE).
It’s a pretty neat pool, all things considered. I’m not sure anything is going to end up best-in-slot here, as we have so many good subclass 3.0 primary weapons at this point some of these feel pretty redundant to others. And poor Adjudicator needs a buff like every other Kinetic weapon out there. For me, I think Dragonfly/Voltshot Prosecutor, Slice/Hatchling Relentless and Heal Clip/Incandescent Darkest Before are the ones I’ll be going for.
Oh, and you can still get the armor set from the dungeon too, the rather neat Daito set that you can now use as transmog. When the dungeon launched, that system didn’t exist of course.
I would like to see more of this in other, older dungeons, like say, a reason to farm something like Shattered Throne at all, but I won’t hold my breath. Next on the “refresh” list should be Garden of Salvation raid weapons, but I’m not going to hold my breath. Many players thought that would happen midway through this season, but clearly we got the Prophecy rework instead.
I will probably do some no mic Prophecy runs for this. It’s actually my favorite dungeon and though I’ve run it a million times, I am happy for a new reason to head back to it after all this time. We’ll see how it goes and how rusty I might be, but I like that there’s halfway decent loot here now.
