I am now fully on board the Dragon’s Dogma 2 train as stellar reviews have come in and I have seen a lot of very funny combat videos on Twitter. As such, I was looking for what time the game would actually launch, and there’s a whole list depending on where you live.
Dragon’s Dogma has published a full list of these times so you know when you can start downloading or playing, depending on the platform. Here’s the list as it stands right now, based on a city in your timezone:
Steam Release Time:
- LA – Thursday, 5 PM
- Mexico City – Thursday, 6 PM
- Toronto – Thursday, 8 PM
- New York – Thursday, 8 PM
- Sao Paolo – Thursday, 9 PM

- Paris – Friday, 1 AM
- Helsinki – Friday, 2 AM
- Riyadh – Friday, 3 AM
- Seoul – Friday, 9 AM
- Tokyo – Friday, 9 AM
- Auckland – Friday, 1 PM
PS5, Xbox Series X/S Release Time

So, as you can see, Steam launch times are all over the place, but some PC players will get it decently early on Thursday, especially on the west coast of the US. Console players, meanwhile, all get the game at midnight local time on Friday (minus LA) making things a lot more straightforward to remember. There is no preloading on Steam but preloading on console is already live, so you can get started on that if you want to.
Dragon’s Dogma is on pace to be one of the better reviewed games of 2024, it seems, with an 87 metascore. No, it’s not at FFVII Rebirth, Elden Ring of Baldur’s Gate levels, but those are solid scores and it seems like it’s going to be a really good time. We’ll see how sales are in a week or two, but it appears it’s going to be able to do pretty well, given the context of what we’re seeing ahead of launch here.
You can get ready to play tonight on PC in my hemisphere, though tomorrow will vary in the rest of the world where PC or console is going first. Have fun.
