Last week, Insta360 announced videography bundles for its Ace Pro 2 Arctic White action camera. The company aims to position it as a “new-generation everyday essential.” There are three distinct bundles, each including the camera alongside specialized accessories.

I have the Flash Print Bundle and have been using it for the last three days. It has turned my helmet-mounted device into a point-and-shoot camera.

I took more photos than videos, which isn’t my regular use case for an action camera. Insta360’s lifestyle push is thoughtfully implemented, but the launch price tag might not be for everyone. Fortunately, you can get it at a discount right now.

The Insta360 Ace Pro 2 Arctic White Flash Print Bundle includes the Xplorer Grip Pro Kit, Pocket Printer, Flip Screen Hood, and a Classic Leather Case, alongside the Ace Pro 2 in white. Here’s what they do:

Xplorer Grip Pro Kit

The Insta360 Xplorer Grip Pro Kit allows you to attach a point-and-shoot camera-like grip to the Ace Pro 2. It connects via USB-C and has a customizable dial on top that controls exposure by default. I love the in-hand feel because it makes the action camera significantly more comfortable to hold.

The grip also adds a secondary 2,010mAh battery (slightly larger than the camera’s own cell). I was able to record 4K/60fps footage for about two hours (not continous but in total throughout the day) and still had considerable battery left. It is claimed to help the camera deliver up to 5 hours and 40 minutes of continuous shooting.

Apart from the Xplorer Grip Pro Kit, the bundle also includes a Flip Screen Hood. It is meant to offer a waist-level viewfinder feel, if needed.

The Pocket Printer

Insta360 launched its Pocket Printer alongside last year but it was available only in black. The Arctic White Limited Edition includes a Pocket Printer in white, which looks nicer in my opinion. I like how the reds pop on this setup.

The camera attaches to the top of the Pocket Printer, but you can use it separately too. The two devices connect wirelessly over Bluetooth.

Insta360’s new Pocket Printer looks similar to other pocketable instant printers from Canon and Fujifilm. It uses dye-sublimation technology like the Polaroid Hi-Print instead of Zink or Instax paper. This means you’ll need to replace cartridges ($9.90 for 20 prints), but it’ll give you more premium-quality 3-inch, 300dpi laminated prints. They’re waterproof and fade-resistant, so you can expect them to last a while.

You can trigger a printout from the camera itself or use the app to manage batch printing. The app also lets you add the new Light Leak Overlay feature, which adds vintage film grain, light leaks, lens flares, and retro timestamps to your photos before printing.

The Classic Leather Case

The Insta360 Ace Pro 2 Arctic White Flash Print Bundle comes with a Classic Leather Case. It is designed to store the complete kit and includes a belt so you can carry it like a sling bag. It looks premium, and I love the soft finish of its materials. It is one of the easiest ways to carry the bundle.

The new bundle is now available to purchase through the company’s website and select global retailers. It will set you back $579, but Insta360 is currently running a discount that brings the price down to $465.
