Bluey, the adorable Australian animated series about a quirky canine family, just gave its fans a bit of a one-two punch over the last couple of weeks.

First, fans were treated to an especially long episode called “The Sign” in which the Heeler family very nearly sells their house on the hill. This was also the first of over 150 episodes to have music during the credits. That emotional episode was followed by a surprise Season 3 finale that saw young Bluey all grown up with a pup of her own.

Both of these episodes have caused fans to wonder if Bluey is coming to an end or if there will be a fourth season.

The good news for parents and kids alike is that Bluey is not ending. Our adventures with Bluey, Bingo, Bandit (Dad), Chilli (Mum) and all their friends and family will continue.

“No it is not the end for Bluey,” Bluey producer Sam Moor told the BBC. “I’m sure we have many more surprises in store for you. We have more in store and we are thinking what would be next.”

When Will Season 4 Come Out?

While Bluey will be returning, the show’s creators at Ludo say they’re taking a hiatus. This means we really have no idea when the next season will drop.

“We are just going to get our heads on a bit, it’s been four or five years and we’ve made 154 episodes, it is kind of unprecedented to do that back-to-back,” Bluey executive producer Daley Pearson told Australia’s Courier Mail. “It was very intense. We are just coming to the end of season three and trying to think about what’s the best way to make it better.”

In January, when 10 new episodes of Bluey were added to Disney+, the series topped Nielsen’s streaming charts with 1.5 billion minutes viewed. Over half of that was for the 10 new episodes alone. According to Deadline, “The 2-11 demo was also responsible for more than 50% of overall Bluey viewing this week.”

Clearly, the kids show continues to be a massive hit and while we don’t know how long it will run or when the next season will drop, Bluey will return.
