Logitech shows no sign of slowing down with its release of new products. The world’s best-known maker of keyboards, mice and webcams has just announced the expansion of its range of Zone wireless headphones.

The ZONE 300 headset is being released in the UK and is aimed at people working from home or using shared office spaces. The Zone 300 is being touted as an essential tool for staying productive in roles that involve making clear phone calls and video meetings.

Logitech’s Zone 300 is designed for home working environments where background noise can be disruptive. Featuring dual noise-canceling microphones on an extended boom, the Zone 300 also uses customized algorithms that suppress background noises. Users can also personalize the audio of the headset by adjusting sidetone, mic level and EQ settings with Logi Tune desktop or mobile apps.

Logitech says the Zone 300 is compatible with most leading video conferencing platforms like Microsoft Teams and Zoom where keeping connected without the restriction of wires throughout the working day.

Thanks to Bluetooth technology, the user can move around with the headset up to 30 meters from the host device, whether that’s a computer or smartphone. With support for multipoint Bluetooth connectivity, users can even switch calls between a computer and a smartphone.

The rechargeable battery in the headset provides up to 20 hours of listening time and 16 hours of talk time from a full charge. That equates to at least a full working day on one charge, possibly up to a week for those making fewer calls.

Incidentally, a five-minute burst charge can serve up an extra hour of talk time, which is handy when you’ve forgotten to charge your headset and need to make an unscheduled call. Weighing just 122g, the Zone 300 is easy to wear and the soft earpads make a long day of phone calls easier to endure.

As Logitech moves further into the enterprise sector with its range of video bars and headsets, the sustainability of its products becomes even more important. The sheer number of products Logitech sells each year has a considerable environmental impact.

Lots of companies pay lip service to the concept of sustainability but Logitech has done more than many to reduce the environmental impact of its products. For example, the Zone 300 headset is made from at least 42% certified post-consumer recycled plastic, providing a second life to plastic reclaimed from old consumer electronics. The paper packaging used comes from FSC-certified forests and other controlled sources of board and fiber.

Logitech says the carbon footprint of the Zone 300 headset is 8.5 kg CO2e, but the company claims it’s working hard to reduce that figure and offsets the residual carbon impact to zero. The Zone 300 has replaceable earpads ensuring the headset can have a longer life instead of ending up in landfill when the earpads are worn out.

Pricing & Availability: The Logitech Zone 300 is available in Off-White, Black and Rose colorways. UK buyers can get it now and the cost £69.99 from logitech.com/en-gb.
