It’s a Sport Band in what’s called Icy Blue Glow, which sounds pretty great just from the name. It’s made from the same soft but sturdy fluoroelastomer rubber as its other Sport Bands, with the matching design that is breathable thanks to ventilation strips across it.
It feels comfortable on the wrist and is suitable for all occasions, from active sports such as running or swimming—it’s 100% waterproof, after all—to dressier occasions or evening wear. That more formal compatibility is not least down to the way it changes color in different situations. In daylight, it’s almost white, with a classy look to it, but because it shines with an electric blue glow at night, it has a look that’s exciting and eye-catching.
I mean, you may not want to wear it to the theatre, that might be distracting to nearby audience members.
This is the third glow-in-the-dark Sport Band, with the first two having a more traditional greenish luminosity. I’d say this is the most attractive yet.
Like every Sport Band, it’s made in two sizes so it will fit any Apple Watch Band including the Ultra and Ultra 2.
If a luminous band is too much of a head-turner, there are plenty of other colors that don’t light up in the dark, such as black and naval blue, ash green, lunar gray, stone, coastal rock, marine blue and white. And there’s one that almost seems to glow: the ultra orange is bright and hard to miss.
