Wednesday, July 9 is the launch date for Samsung’s next devices, the company revealed. Galaxy Unpacked will take place at 10 a.m. Eastern, in Brooklyn, New York.

“Brooklyn is where visionary thinking and bold ideas shape the future, so it’s only fitting that Samsung unveils the latest and greatest additions to the Galaxy portfolio in a place known for its culture, creativity, and collaboration,” Samsung said in a news release.

Although the company didn’t name the products it’s about to unveil, there’s no doubt that it’ll be the new fold and flip phones — the headline reading “The Ultra Experience is ready to unfold,” makes that clear.

The word ultra may also indicate a new naming convention is coming, instead of the expected Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7.

An accompanying teaser video shows a series of geometric shapes which seem to suggest that the new Fold will be noticeably thinner than the current Z Fold6.

Just as intriguing, Samsung has also launched a special offer on its website. Under the slogan Ultra Unfolds, Samsung is promising $50 of Samsung Credit for anyone who fills out a reservation form with their name and email address.

If you then go on to buy one of the devices that’s launched, you’ll get a $50 credit to the Samsung store following your preorder and purchase. It can’t be used towards the phone itself, but anything else on the Samsung website. You can also enter Samsung’s sweepstakes for a chance of winning $5,000 of Samsung credit.

The site also promises up to $1,150 in savings with other promotions and trade-ins, though it doesn’t elaborate on exactly what these might mean.

Reservations are open now and run until July 8, the day before the products are unveiled.

As well as the two folding phones expected, it’s thought the event will launch new Galaxy Watch products — perhaps three different models — and perhaps new earbuds.
