In case you missed Thursday’s NYT Mini Crossword puzzle, you can find the answers here:

Well Halloween has come and gone, as has October. It’s November 1st, el dia de los muertos, and time for a whole new month of puzzle-solving and other shenanigans. This is my last day on the NYT Mini Crossword guide rotation, but I’ll still be banging out a Wordle guide daily here on this blog. I hope everyone had a great Halloween. Let’s solve this Mini!

Spoilers ahead, obviously. Skip ahead for the image of today’s solved puzzle.

ACROSS

1 — With 5-Down, rhyming Japanese philosophy of finding beauty in imperfection —

Sneaker bottoms

5— Sneaker bottoms — SOLES

6 — Typeface similar to Helvetica — ARIAL

7 — Piece of grass — BLADE

8 — Personal items checked by bouncers — IDS

DOWN

1 — Disney ___ — WORLD

2 — Pen name — ALIAS

3 — Pearl in a pearl necklace, e.g. — BEAD

4 — Bit of land in the ocean — ISLE

5 — See 1-Across — SABI

This was mostly pretty easy, though I didn’t know 1-Across or its corresponding 5-Down and had to fill those in as I went. I made a very silly mistake and typed out SOULS instead of SOLES (it’s my Dark Souls habit) but sorted that in the end. This one took me 1:43.

How did you do? Let me know on Twitter, Instagram or Facebook.

If you also play Wordle, I write guides about that as well. You can find those and all my TV guides, reviews and much more here on my blog. Thanks for reading!
