In case you missed Friday’s NYT Mini, you can find the answers here:

Wondering who Stimpy’s cartoon pal is? Not sure what fare scavengers eat? Don’t worry, because I’m here to help you with the answers for today’s NYT Mini crossword.

The NYT Mini is a quick and dirty version of the newspaper’s larger and long-running crossword. Most days, there are between three and five clues in each direction on a five by five grid, but the puzzles are sometimes larger, especially on Saturdays.

Unlike its larger sibling, the NYT Mini crossword is free to play on the New York Times website or NYT Games app. However, you’ll need an NYT Games subscription to access previous puzzles in the archives.

To help you avoid getting stuck and having to reveal missing letters, here are the NYT Mini Crossword answers for Saturday, August 10 (spoilers lie ahead, of course):

It took me 2:18 to complete today’s NYT Mini. That’s quite a bit longer than I would have liked, even on the larger Saturday puzzle, but at least I didn’t need to look anything up.

I pieced everything together pretty slowly. The first Across answer I got saw FRISBEE, followed by EGO, what I thought was “run” (instead of LAM) and REN. CARRION, CHARGE and OFFER were the only Down clues I got on my first pass.

Once I figured out that 3 Down was LEGIBLE, 11 Across had to be LAM. CAMEO probably should have clicked faster than it did, and I’m entirely unfamiliar with The Farside, so I had to rely on getting the other words.
