In case you missed Wednesday’s NYT Mini Crossword puzzle, you can find the answers here:

Thor’s Day has arrived and with it, a new NYT Mini Crossword puzzle to solve. I’m on a steady rotation of these word games lately. My daily Wordle, of course, but also Strands, the occasional Connections and Spelling Bee and now the Mini also. I think the Spelling Bee is by far the toughest of the bunch, though Connections can vary wildly between pretty easy and pretty obscure. I mostly enjoy Wordle now just to see if I can beat the Wordle Bot. And when it comes to the Mini, I’m just trying to get my times down. Some people are insanely fast at this thing, and I am not one of them.

In any case, let’s solve today’s!

Spoilers ahead, obviously. Skip ahead for the image of today’s solved puzzle.

ACROSS

1 — Nature’s band-aids, you might say — SCABS

6 — Singer, dancer and choreographer Abdul — PAULA

7 — Mountains of Peru — ANDES

8 — Melty layer of a Reuben sandwich — SWISS

9 — In need of tidying up — MESSY

DOWN

1 — Muscle twitch — SPASM

2 — Plea from a couple of clamouring kids — CANWE

3 — Some luxury cars — AUDIS

4 — Sanctify — BLESS

5 — Having a lot of “attitude” — SASSY

Well this one went very well, and I didn’t even start it super fast as I got distracted. I basically just filled in the ACROSS words one by one and solved the puzzle without looking at the DOWNs at all. The only thing I did wrong was start to type in DIRTY, whereupon I quickly checked 1 DOWN and saw it had to be SPASM. From there, it was all gravy. I solved today’s in just 41 seconds. How did you do? Let me know on Twitter, Instagram or Facebook.

If you also play Wordle, I write guides about that as well. You can find those and all my TV guides, reviews and much more here on my blog. Thanks for reading!
