We’re already past the halfway mark in November somehow, and Thanksgiving is just around the corner. It’s been a big month. Lots of stuff happening on the personal front, which I won’t get into, but it’s just one of those months basically. I’m a bit worn out, truth be told. Fortunately, solving a Wordle isn’t too taxing and that’s all I have planned for right now. Let’s do it!

How To Solve Today’s Wordle

Wordle Analysis

Every day I check Wordle Bot to help analyze my guessing game. You can check your Wordles with Wordle Bot right here.

Can you solve today’s phrase?

The reason I guessed FAIRY today—and man was it lucky!—is because I’d just written my review of the latest episode of FROM on MGM+. If you haven’t watched that TV series, I highly recommend you do. In any case, I was musing on some theories I have about the nature of the place, which I won’t get into detail on, and the word FAIRY was in my head because of it, and so I plopped it in and voila! A green box and three yellow boxes. I came up with two possible choices after this: FRAIL and FLAIL and went with the one that didn’t contain a double letter. I was right! Huzzah!

Competitive Wordle Score

I get 2 points for guessing in two and 1 point for beating the Bot, who took three tries today. 3 points for me! Huzzah again!

How To Play Competitive Wordle

  • Guessing in 1 is worth 3 points; guessing in 2 is worth 2 points; guessing in 3 is worth 1 point; guessing in 4 is worth 0 points; guessing in 5 is -1 points; guessing in 6 is -2 points and missing the Wordle is -3 points.
  • If you beat your opponent you get 1 point. If you tie, you get 0 points. And if you lose to your opponent, you get -1 point. Add it up to get your score. Keep a daily running score or just play for a new score each day.
  • Fridays are 2XP, meaning you double your points—positive or negative.
  • You can keep a running tally or just play day-by-day. Enjoy!

Today’s Wordle Etymology

The word “frail” originates from Latin fragilis (“easily broken”), through Old French fraile, and Middle English fraile. It reflects the idea of weakness or fragility.
