Another creator product is hitting shelves online and in Walmarts across the United States. Magician-turned-creator Justin Flom (26.7 million subscribers on YouTube) will debut Flo-Magic, an airbrush kit for kids with washable paint.

Justin first found success on Facebook in the early pandemic. As a lifelong performer, his family-friendly content includes everything from sketch comedy to pranks to over-the-top home renovation. He learned to study the data in order to adjust content to reach a bigger audience.

“I’m an algorithm guy. Every piece of content starts out at zero. I surf the algorithm and don’t just rely on my base audience. I have to be great every single post,” says Flom, whose most popular Short has 1.7 billion views. After studying the reach and engagement on Facebook first, he pivoted from magic into spray paint videos which led to his first video to crack 100M Views.

His viral spray paint videos are what prompted a conversation with brand incubator Allstar Innovations, the product partner who has worked with Dude Perfect, Jesser, Rebecca Zamolo and more.

“From the moment we met Justin, it was clear he had a talent for bringing his creative visions to life,” said Shaun Gluss, Allstar Innovation’s Vice President of Sales. “We were excited not only to showcase his vibrant world of spray paint stencil art to a broader audience but also to bring this product into the homes of millions, inspiring creativity on a whole new scale.”

After a year of development, the product hits shelves in 2,000 Walmart stores and on Walmart.com this week. There are two different kits that retail for $29.99 USD each and include ten markers, three stencils, and the signature airbrush. Flom is excited to expand the product offering and potentially collaborate with brands like Marvel to make some of his signature artwork like The Incredible Hulk available to kids at-home.

Flom finds inspiration from traditional comedy legends like Lucille Ball and Dick Van Dyke. He considers his content an homage to the pratfalls and physical comedy of other entertainment mediums. Based in Las Vegas, he’s turned his family home into a content studio meets funhouse with a foam pit, fireman pole and a replica Blockbuster video store currently in the works.

“We literally watch Looney Tunes in this house for inspiration. I take the comedy of sawing through the floor and falling through then recreate it. And it works, that’s one with 100 million plus views!” says Flom.

Prior to the pandemic Justin’s business was 100% dependent on in-person appearances. These days he’s 80% reliant on ad revenue shared with the platforms. He admires fellow creators like Zach King who have diversified with brand endorsements, product and more.

Flom hopes the airbrush kits are just the beginning because he’s full of ideas for future products. He loves the idea of making his viral videos accessible at-home to viewers of all ages.
