UFC 300 is beginning to feel like the mammoth and historic MMA event that fans have expected. On Tuesday, UFC CEO Dana White announced two more fights for the April card.

Justin Gaethje will defend his BMF title belt against former UFC Featherweight champion Max Holloway in a battle of legendary performers. The fight will be fought at 155 pounds.

In addition to Gaethje-Holloway, 40-year-old ageless wonder Jim Miller will get his wish of competing on the card against another veteran, Bobby Green.

If Miller wins, he will likely break into the Top 15 at lightweight.

With the addition of the two fights announced on January 16, the UFC 300 card now has the following fights confirmed.

  • (c) Zhang Weili vs. 2 – Yan Xiaonan – Women’s Strawweight
  • 2 – Justin Gaethje vs. 1 – Max Holloway – Lightweight
  • 1 – Charles Oliveira vs. 4 – Arman Tsarukyan – Featherweight
  • 2 – Jiri Prochazka vs. 5 – Aleksandr Rakic – Light Heavyweight
  • 7 – Calvin Kattar vs. 1 – Aljamain Sterling – Featherweight
  • Bo Nickal vs. Cody Brundage – Middleweight
  • 8 – Deiveson Figueiredo vs. Cody Garbrandt – Bantamweight
  • Jim Miller vs. 14 – Bobby Green – Lightweight

That’s a strong eight fights, but it still feels like a card in need of a true main event, at least one more championship bout and more female fights.

All three boxes can be checked with the presumed four additional fights to be signed and announced. A Leon Edwards title defense seems like a strong possibility, and it’s also possible we could see Alex Pereira defend his title against Magomed Ankalaev.

The other two slots are a bit of a mystery as there are still multiple possibilities, including Alexa Grasso vs. Valentina Shevchenko 3. Stay tuned, as we should know the full details over the next four weeks.
