As the old saying goes, “there’s no such thing as a free lunch” but in the competitive world of outdoor cooking there is such a thing as a free grill.

And if you take advantage of Z Grills “Buy 1, Get 10” program, you could receive many free pellet grills. On the surface, it sounds too good to be true and perhaps a money-losing proposition for Z Grills. But digging deeper into the details, it looks like a win-win for both the manufacturer and its growing customer base.

Z Grills has run similar promotions before, such as the “Buy One, Get One” and “5-Year Cashback” programs, which greatly increased the company’s brand recognition.

“And now with “Buy 1, Get 10,” Z Grills is offering a lifetime grilling experience to introduce more people to wood pellet grilling while increasing Z Grills brand impressions,” said Z Grills CEO, Mr. Zhou.

From a business standpoint, Z Grills will limit the offer daily by releasing it in stages, which helps manage costs and ensures the program is financially sustainable. As for tracking the customer journey in the “Buy 1 Get 10” program, Z Grills plans to create a system where participants can log in and track how much time is left before they qualify for their next grill. Additionally, Z Grills is considering sending a physical certificate outlining the timeline and steps required to claim future grills.

“This will ensure customers know exactly when and how to receive their free grills,” said Zhou.

Z Grills said the “Buy 1, Get 10” program has been well-received so far. However, it’s not a permanent sales strategy for the company and more if an “innovative marketing move” intended to expand market share and increase brand awareness. Currently, the program focuses on Z Grills’ most popular 700 and 1000 series, and higher end models like 7052B will not be part of this program for now.

A natural concern that arises from a popular program like “Buy 1 Get 10” is how the supply chain is impacted. According to Zhou, the program has little to no significant impact on the company’s supply chain.

“Z Grills has sufficient production capacity in our factories, and the program only accounts for a small portion of our overall sales,” said Zhou. “Additionally, since Z Grills products are sold across multiple platforms but the ‘Buy 1 Get 10′ offer is exclusive to our brand website, so its effect on supply is minimal. In the future, we plan to launch a tech system to give users updates and improve their experience.”

If you think the pellet grill industry has devolved into a series of trade promotions and marketing strategies, think again. It turns out Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning will soon be playing a more significant role in product innovation.

For the uninitiated, pellet grills are much smarter than gas or charcoal grills. They use digital controllers to keep the temperature steady, so users don’t have to constantly adjust or monitor the heat. Plus, with WiFi connectivity, users can control and monitor their grills via their mobile phones. In short, pellet grills are the perfect consumer products to be infused with AI, something that Z Grills is putting resources behind as it looks to the future.

“We’re are AI and other innovations to make our grills even more intuitive and user-friendly based on our user feedback,” said Zhou. “One of the key areas we are focusing on right now is reducing the heating time. For most pellet grills, it takes around 15 to 30 minutes to reach the desired temperature, but our team is working to bring that down to just a few minutes, which would revolutionize the grilling experience.”
