Arguably the single biggest content-adding patch since Palworld’s launch has arrived. With it comes a massive new Pal to fight, but also loads of additions to players’ collections of items, giving the game new means of progress and new tools to use. So let’s go through it
Raid Boss – Bellanoir
Bellanoir was teased earlier, and now she’s here. This is not a wild Pal, but one that is summoned using “slabs” at the new Summoning Altar. She cannot be captured, similar to the Tower battles from the base game, but she will drop Pal Eggs when killed (unclear if she might be in one of the Pal Eggs). There is also an “extreme” version of Bellanoir that will be very hard, and may be best taken on in groups.
New Items and Buildings
- Training Manuals – Give experience points to Pals.
- Ancient Technology Manuals – From dungeon chests, gives you ancient technology points to use.
- Recovery Meds – Allow you to slowly recover HP over time
- Homeworld Thundercloud – Instantly warp you to your nearest base.
- Ability Glasses – You can see Pal’s stats before catching or fighting them.
- Power Fruit/Life Fruit/Stout Fruit – Boost Pal’s stats when used
- Ring of Mercy – You cannot reduce Pals below 1 HP when attacking, perfect for catching. There is a new Pal Passive called Mercy Hit, which does the same thing but for Pals.
- Multiclimate Undershirt – Protect yourself against both heat and cold in a single slot.
- Electric Egg Incubator – Consumes electricity to optimize temperature for incubated eggs.
- Ore Mining Site – You can produce ore from your base.
- Antique Dresser – Allows players to change appearance.
Pals
- Kelpsea can now produced Pal Fluids at the ranch
- Dumud can produce High-Quality Pal Oil at the ranch
- Negative Pal statues can be removed after sitting in the box a while.
- You can pick/disallow certain jobs for base Pals at the Monitoring Stand
- Crafted items can be transported to Pals from chests.
- You can cancel Pal breaks by throwing them at work stations.
Balance
- Minimum heat and cold values added to armor
- Reduced button press time for egg timer
- Added legendary blueprints for some firearms that didn’t have them
- Fixed diamond selling price
- Eggs have a small chance to produce Alpha Pals
- Flying and floating Pals immune to fall damage
- Shop price adjustments
This is not even all of it, as it wouldn’t fit, so you can read the full patch notes which are laid out in a single long tweet here. There is more content planned for summer 2024 they say, which includes a new island with new pals, and there will be more buildings, weapons and tower bosses added as well. No word on PvP, but still, pretty cool.
