Some of the notable changes to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 6 are known, but there are still some surprises to be revealed.
Prolific smartphone expert Ross Young of Display Supply Chain Consultants reports on one of Samsung’s fashionable specifications for the upcoming premium foldable. The Galaxy Z Fold 6 colours will include Light Pink, Navy, and Silver Shadow. He also notes that there will be two colors available in limited numbers; Crafted Black and Crafted White, which implies these will be exclusive colors. Given Samsung’s love of exclusive colors that are only available through its website, the new black and white options could follow this trend with two web-only options.
The current Galaxy Z Fold 5 is available in Cream, Icy Blue, Phantom Black, Gray, and Blue. The muted palette of 2023 may have a dash of pink in 2024, but the Z Fold 6’s ßweep of pastel will continue to project a more business-like device.
Young previously highlighted the three storage options of the Z Fold 6 and the smaller clamshell Z Flip 6. There’s no lower tier of 128 GB on offer; instead, Samsung will offer 256 GB, 512 GB, and 1 TB variants.
The two devices are expected to launch at the next Galaxy Unpacked event, reportedly on July 10 in Paris.
