Well, Memorial Day has come and gone. May is almost at an end. June looms just over the horizon. It’s been a pretty good month. I’ve managed to get a lot of exercise and sunshine, both of which boost my spirits. Stupid seasonal depression got me and wouldn’t let go this winter, so it’s nice to be on the other side of winter.

Kind of a tricky word today. I was a little miffed when PLATE came back with a grand total of zero green or yellow boxes, and honestly pretty surprised when CHOIR only gave me a yellow ‘I’ (better than a black eye, I suppose). I successfully turned that green and picked up a green ‘N’ with DINGY, and from there I could only think of one word to guess: MINUS. I got lucky, however. Turns out SINUS would have worked also!

How To Play Competitive Wordle
Guessing in 1 is worth 3 points; guessing in 2 is worth 2 points; guessing in 3 is worth 1 point; guessing in 4 is worth 0 points; guessing in 5 is -1 points; guessing in 6 is -2 points and missing the Wordle is -3 points.
If you beat your opponent you get 1 point. If you tie, you get 0 points. And if you lose to your opponent, you get -1 point. Add it up to get your score. Keep a daily running score or just play for a new score each day.
