Apple’s most recent full-size iPads launched in May, including two new versions of the iPad Air—the Goldilocks tablet for most people, I’d say. It now comes in two sizes (11-inch and 13-inch), both with the powerful Apple M2 chip on board. All models have just dropped in price: here are the bargains.
The prices across the range have just dropped at Amazon: here are the separate links for the 11-inch and 13-inch screen sizes. Some savings are bigger than others. Some see as much as $150 knocked off the regular price.

The iPad Air comes with two connectivity options, one with WiFi and one with WiFi and cellular (we’ll focus on WiFi models here). It’s available in four colors: starlight, space gray, purple and blue. And there are four storage options to choose from: 128GB, 256GB, 512GB and 1TB. So, it’s worth thinking about which model you’re after.
Apple iPad Air 11-Inch
For the 11-inch display, the 128GB storage option with WiFi usually costs $599. Amazon has it for $50 off, an 8% reduction, priced at $549 for blue, purple and space gray, or $554 for starlight finish.
The 256GB storage version with WiFi is usually priced at $699 but there’s currently another 8% discount, meaning a $55 price cut to $644 for the starlight finish, with an extra dollar off for space gray and purple, $643. The price drop is more miserly on the blue finish: $681.29.
Shift up to the 512GB storage and on the blue finish there’s an 8% discount which works out at $75, reducing the usual $899 price to $824. Only 7% off the purple and space gray options, bringing the price to $834, while starlight has the biggest price drop, 11%. That’s a full $100 off and brings it down to $799.
If you want the biggest storage on the 11-incher, there’s up to 9% off. That’s a $100 discount on the blue version, down from $1,099 to $999. Purple costs $1,011, space gray $1,031 and starlight is $1,014.
Apple iPad Air 13-Inch
The entry-level 13-inch option has 128GB storage with wifi. Normally it’s $799 but right now, it’s 8% off, a $63 discount, bringing it down to $735. That’s not bad, and it’s across all four colors.
Step up to 256GB and the $899 regular price is discounted by 8% or $72 for purple: $827. Space gray and blue are a touch more, $829, while starlight has a much poorer discount: it costs $879.93.
Next up is 512GB and here there’s a bigger discount on starlight: 8% off the regular $1,099 price brings the cost down to $1,011, the same price as blue. Space gray is a little more: $1,014. But the big discount is reserved for the purple colorway: a big 14% price drop saves $150 off the list price, bringing it to $949.
Finally, for those who must have the most storage, the 1TB model, normally $1,299, is 8% or $105 off in purple: $1,194, just $5 more for blue, $1,199 but best-priced in starlight where a 12% price cut brings it down to $1,149—a $150 savings.
