Apple’s Creator Studio subscription is getting its first major AI update. The company is adding new features to Pixelmator Pro, Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, and more to make its service “more connected, capable, and intelligent.”

At launch, Brent Chiu-Watson, Apple’s senior director of Worldwide Product Marketing for Apps, told Forbes, “A core benefit in Apple Creator Studio is that these apps work together in ways that mirror the creative process itself,” and the latest update expands on that idea.

Starting with one of the “most requested features,” according to Apple, Final Cut Pro is adding support for automatic transcriptions. Using the new Generate Captions on-device AI feature, you’ll be able to transcribe audio automatically. It’ll also let you personalize the text by allowing you to animate the style and customize its font, color, and text position.

Final Cut Pro also gets Edit Detection, which analyzes rendered video and splits it back into the original clips on the timeline for faster re-edits and repurposing. The company says editors can use this tool for edits, refinements, or assembling a cut-down highlight clip for social media.

Final Cut Pro on Mac is also adding an Auto Mask tool, which isolates and refines video elements like skin, hair, sky, and clothing. You can now hover over a clip and isolate subjects without any needing to add manual tracking. Plus, the Color Match feature now produces more accurate and natural colors across different lighting conditions.

Apple is also integrating its image editor, Pixelmator Pro, with Final Cut Pro, Keynote, Numbers, and Pages. You’ll now be able to send a frame from Final Cut Pro to Pixelmator Pro and create thumbnails or social graphics more efficiently. On the other hand, if you use Keynote, Numbers, or Pages, you can select an image to edit in Pixelmator Pro, your changes will be saved to the original document.

The image editing app is also getting advanced image generation and a Content Hub to browse a curated collection of images. This will allow you to generate AI images within Pixelmator Pro using natural language.

Logic Pro users aren’t being left behind. Apple has rebuilt Chord ID to make harmonic analysis more accurate. Plus, both Logic Pro and MainStage are getting a new granular sync mode in Alchemy to open up “new dimensions of sound design.”

You can subscribe to the Creator Studio subscription for $12.99 / INR 399 per month or $129 / INR 3,999 per year. It’s even more affordable for students at $2.99 / INR 199 per month or $29.99 / INR 1,999 per year, and includes all of Apple’s creative software.
