The next iPhone is out in a few weeks but offers have begun to bite on the current handsets. If you’re in the market for a new iPhone, but it doesn’t have to be the 2024 release, there are savings to be had.
iPhone 15 Pro Max
There’s a big discount on an iPhone 15 Pro Max at AT&T if you’re trading in your old handset: up to $1,000 off. For this, you need to buy the new model on an unlimited plan and then mail your old device back in a return box. The discount is delivered in the form of bill credits each month over 36 months, so that instead of paying $33.34 a month for a 256GB capacity iPhone 15 Pro Max, you would pay just $5.56 a month if your phone earns the maximum trade-in value.
Note that $1,000 is the maximum discount, while the minimum trade-in value is $290.
The offer is available on all four colors of the phone, Blue Titanium, Natural Titanium, Black Titanium and White Titanium.
iPhone 15 Pro
If you prefer the smaller iPhone 15 Pro, that’s also available at a heavily reduced price with trade-in. “Get iPhone 15 Pro on us,” the website says, with trading in a handset reducing the monthly cost from $27.78 to $0. This is effectively the same deal, that the $999 purchase price of the iPhone 15 Pro with 128GB storage is applied in 36 monthly bill credits.
In other words, you still pay for the iPhone 15 Pro upfront exactly as usual, for $999, but pay no monthly costs for the next 3 years. The savings add up to $1,000.08 over that time. If you want the 256GB-capacity model you pay $1,099 when you get the iPhone and the regular $30.56 monthly payment is slashed to $2.78 a month, which adds up to the same $1,000.08 savings across the three years. Higher storage capacities also earn the same savings, though your upfront and monthly payments are higher, of course.
All four colors of iPhone 15 Pro are available.
iPhone 15 And iPhone 15 Plus
But maybe you don’t want the extra power, third camera or titanium build of the Pro model? AT&T has offers for the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus, too and while they don’t match the $1,000 savings, the $700 price cut may still be tempting.
You’ll have understood the principle by now: buy the iPhone for the regular price, for example, $829.99 for the 128GB iPhone 15, trade in your phone and see your monthly costs plummet from $23.06 to $3.62 for the 36 months of the contract.
As with the Pro models, AT&T has all five colors, pink, black, yellow, green and blue available with this trade-in.
