BlueAnt may not be the most recognizable name in the consumer electronics market, but the Australian brand has been around for 20 years, marketing a range of audio products that combine technology with fashionable design.
The latest product from the BlueAnt stable is the new X5i Party Speaker. Described as the “ultimate portable party machine” the speaker offers up to 120W of peak power output, seven lighting modes and an impressive 30 hours of playtime. The X5i also includes two wireless microphones for those karaoke nights.
Engineered to deliver booming bass at all volume levels, the speaker sports dual 58mm tweeters, a 165mm bass driver, a bass reflex tube and BlueAnt’s signature psycho-acoustic bass. The upshot is a powerful and immersive sound output.
As well as the bass performance, the X5i has a built-in 20,800mAh battery which can provide up to 30 hours of playtime with the speaker playing at half volume. With the volume cranked up to the maximum, you can still get up to seven hours of continuous play. There’s also an AC power option for those parties that never end.
The X5i has LED lights around its trim and core with seven beat-driven light modes to illuminate a party room and sync with whatever music is playing. For those who want a deeper and more resonant sound, there’s a bass boost button to add more thump to the beat.
This is an all-in-one party speaker and includes two wireless microphones with an extended range and up to 50 hours of use on a single charge. BlueAnt claims the microphones are ideal for impromptu karaoke sessions. The microphones can be charged directly from the speaker making the whole setup more convenient.
Despite its compact size, the X5i weighs just a tad over 10lbs, making it relatively easy to transport. There’s also a built-in phone and tablet holder, an IP54 splashproof rating, plus a power bank functionality that can keep phones or tablets topped up when playing music.
The X5i supports multiple playback options, including Bluetooth 5.4, USB and AUX analog sources, providing flexible methods for connecting and playing music. A Duo Mode enables users to pair two BlueAnt X5i Part Speakers, creating a broader and more dynamic soundstage for even larger events.
