Roman Dolidze got his revenge on Saturday night in the main event of UFC Vegas 104 at the Apex. Dolidze avenged a unanimous decision loss to Marvin Vettori in 2023 with a UD victory of his own.
Dolidze-Vettori wasn’t a thrilling fight, but it was physical and hotly contested. Dolidze took control of the fight in the last two rounds. He outlanded Vettori 75-50 en route to the win (49-46 x3).
Vettori had been on the shelf for almost two years healing from an injury, and this wasn’t the way he wanted to come back to the Octagon. Once the fight was over, Dolidze called out Robert Whittaker and Israel Adesanya.
The callouts make sense. Vettori came into the fight ranked No. 8, and Dolidze was No. 12. Dolidze will be No. 8 or higher in the next rankings, which puts him within reach to challenge a Top-5 opponent like No. 4 Adesanya or No. 5 Whittaker.
Vettori could potentially take on the winner of Reinier de Ridder vs. Bo Nickal, which takes place in May.
In the co-main event, Chidi Njokuani scored an impressive second-round TKO win over Elizeu Zaleski. A knee from the Thai clinch got it done.
Njokuani had some pressure on him after he missed weight.
Njokuani now has three wins in a row. He’s seemingly positioned himself for a fight against a ranked opponent in his next fight. Here is a look at all of the results from the card and the four bonus winners (there was no Fight of the Night bonus).
