UFC London won’t win any awards for most action-packed event of the year, but Sean Brady did put on a dominant display in the main event.
Brady defeated Leon Edwards via fourth-round submission to cap off a massive performance. Brady’s pressure and grappling were too much for Edwards. Here is a look at the finish.
Brady seemed to take the blueprint established by Belal Muhammad in July 2024 and built on it to secure the finish. Edwards looked completely defeated midway through the third round when he inexplicably and unsuccessfully shot for a takedown.
The move seemed to seal his fate, as Brady took top control and dominated another round. Brady could rise to No. 1 in the welterweight division, though Muhammad is already scheduled to defend his title against Jack Della Maddalena in May.
Brady could challenge the winner — especially if Shavkat Rakhmonov isn’t ready to come back from his injury. If nothing else, Brady secured one of four performance bonuses with his dominant win.
The event drew 18,583 at the O2 Arena in London. The live gate was $4.71 million, which is the highest-grossing Fight Night event in the promotion’s history.

In the co-main event, Carlos Ulberg won a unanimous decision over former UFC champion Jan Blachowicz. The fight was less than thrilling, but the victory for Ulberg — which was spurred on by a slight edge in leg kicks — has pushed him to a point where he is on the cusp of a title shot.

Finally, we got to see another finish. Duncan continued to jump the gilly and he finally got the submission finish.

- Middleweight Bout: Christian Leroy Duncan def. Andre Pulyaev via unanimous decision (30-27×2, 30-26)
- Women’s Strawweight Bout: Shauna Bannon def. Puja Tomar via second-round submission
Bannon scored the only finish of the prelims, but she had to eat a head kick first.
Bannon came up with the amazing comeback to secure the submission win.

This was the first UFC event since August 2024 that didn’t have a single KO or TKO victory. It would have been interesting to hear what UFC President Dana White had to say about that distinction. However, the promotion sent Executive Vice President David Shaw to meet the media instead of White.
As it is, most fans are looking forward to next week’s event in Mexico City, which is headlined by Brandon Moreno vs. Steve Erceg.
