This Vienna based program stands out by providing VCs support to start their first fund. Allocator One, composed of seasoned venture allocators who have developed a framework for recognizing, fostering, and backing the emerging cohort of first-time GPs. Allocator One facilitates Limited Partners (LPs) in connecting with these promising newcomers, sidestepping traditional fund-of-fund charges.
Their model includes a focus on first-time GPs, is fast and responsive: from its first contact to signed commitment in a matter of weeks. The GPs get the peer group, investor network and service access to get your first VC fund started – and the program even supports fund managers with all the paperwork and administrative tasks of setting up and running a fund. It is currently limited to selected batch participants and funds in our portfolio, which include: Common Magic, Don’t Quit Ventures, Wedge Capital and more. In their standard deal, Allocator One becomes a limited partner (LP) in your fund by committing €1 million of capital if you’re a solo GP; or € 2m in case you’re a team of 2 GP or more.
