Following Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 6 sale, Google has followed suit with a new discount for its flagship foldable phone.
The deal applies to shoppers in the U.K. and knocks £200 ($248) off the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, bringing the final price down to £1,579 ($1,961). This is one of the bigger discounts the Pixel 9 Pro Fold has seen since its launch in August.
Google has paired this with enhanced trade in prices. As ever, trade in valuations in the U.K. (and across Europe) pale in comparison to prices in the U.S.
For example, Google U.K. will pay £157 ($195) for the Pixel 6 Pro, whereas the U.S. Google shop values it at $360 for the exact same device. Below are some more prices in both territories.
- Google Pixel 5 U.K. price: £114 ($141), U.S. price: $210
- Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra U.K. price: £116 ($144), U.S. price: $275
There are some outliers, though. Google U.K. will part with £383 ($475) for the Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max, however, the U.S. store only values the same handset at $360.
Despite the trade-in discrepancy, this is still a good discount. Google is throwing in one year of Google One AI premium cloud storage, three months of YouTube Premium and six months of Fitbit premium.
Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold freebies
It’s worth pointing out that if you pay for Google One AI premium 2TB, you get Fitbit and Nest Aware as part of the package. You should qualify for both after the Google One free trial ends and you start paying for the service. To be sure, put a note in your calendar after the free trial is over and double check you’re on the correct Google One plan. Google, however, is still frustratingly yet to throw in YouTube Premium as part of the package.
Elsewhere, the base Pixel 9 has been discounted by £150 ($186), bringing the price down to £649 ($806). This only comes with six months of Google One Premium 2TB. The Pixel Watch 3 is also £70 ($86) cheaper, while the Pixel Buds 2 have been discounted by £30 ($37).
The Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL are not included in the sale, although I suspect Google will launch a big promotion closer to when Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Ultra releases later this month. Hit the follow button below for the latest news on smartphone deals.
