How To Get 12 Months Of Free Google AI Pro Without A Pixel 11
Google has cut the free Google AI Pro trial bundled with the Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL down to just six months, now worth $119.94, half of what Pixel 10 Pro buyers got at launch: a full 12 months, worth $227. If you get the base Pixel 11 you get nothing, whereas the base Pixel 10 at least came with a six month trial.
But, if you don’t mind buying last year’s generation, Google’s own offer terms show the Pixel 10 Pro’s 12-month deal is still redeemable. That offer ends on October 31st, 2026, according to Google’s support pages, so you will have to act quick.
For the uninitiated, the Google AI Pro plan currently includes 5TB of storage, advanced Gemini access, deep research, and Workspace AI integration, plus ecosystem perks like YouTube Premium Lite, Google Home Premium smart home features, and Google Health Premium guidance.
It’s worth noting that the Pixel 10 Pro’s specific 12-month trial offer is listed at 2TB rather than the current 5TB, so you’re trading extra storage for six extra months of free access. Your milage may vary on that. Outside of a trial, AI Pro costs $19.99 a month.
Google hasn’t explained the cut, but the timing lines up with the same memory and AI infrastructure costs squeezing pricing across the entire industry this year. If RAM prices stay high, expect more freebies to be cut on future releases.
Forget The Pixel 11, Buy The OG Google Pixel
Some savvy people have figured out that if you buy an original 2016 Google Pixel or Pixel XL, you can redeem the free unlimited Google Photos offer that was availble and popular at the time.
That freebie meant users could upload any photo or video, at full original quality, completely free, with no storage cap and no expiration date ever announced. Otherwise known as the good ol’ days.
To the perk in 2026, you don’t need to use the phone daily. A cracked screen or dead battery also doesn’t matter, so as long as it powers on, connects to Wi-Fi and runs Google Photos, then backups you send through it land in your account without touching your Google One quota. Used units go for as little as $30 to $150 on eBay or Swappa, with some sellers openly advertising the free storage hack.
It’s not clear how long the unlimited Photos storage trick will last, Google must be aware of it and it could be cut at any time. But we do know that the Pixel 10 one-year free Google AI Pro plan deal ends on October 31st, after that your only option is to take Google’s six month offer that comes with the Pixel 11.
