To celebrate the launch of Amazon Prime Video’s new TV series, Fallout, Grubhub has revealed a limited-time Fallout-themed burger meal.
The Nuka-Blast Burger Meal will only be available in extremely limited quantities on April 11th and can only be ordered in select areas of New York City and Los Angeles. Just 150 of these will available in either city, costing $12 a pop plus tax and tip.
Each Nuka-Blast Burger Meal includes comes in the happy meal-style collector’s box pictured above (and with only 300 of these available, they really are collectibles, albeit greasy collectibles) and includes:
- Nuka-Blast Burger
- Fries
- Nuka-Cola Victory Special Release from Jones Soda
According to Grubhub, “The burger gets its distinctive heat from ingredients such as Calabrian chilis, fire-roasted jalapeño peppers, cayenne spices, and a specially crafted spicy dipping sauce made with ghost chili peppers.”
Meanwhile the Nuka-Cola Victory is a special peach mango soda from Jones Soda. Sounds very fancy.
This is clearly more about publicity—getting people like me to write posts about it—than anything else. Very few people who watch the show or order Grubhub when it airs (a day early on April 10th) will get to try the meal. It’s part of a partnership between Prime Video and Grubhub called “Tune In & Takeout” (a bit of a spin on Timothy Leary’s “Turn on, tune in, drop out” ethos). Other shows have had similar limited offerings. If you’re a Prime member you can also get a year of Grubhub+ for free, which isn’t a bad deal if you order a lot of food delivery.
You just can’t have a Nuka-Blast Burger Meal. Well, most of you can’t. Those of you who do get the meal, I’d be curious to know if it’s any good. If you see this, feel free to reach out to me on on Twitter and Facebook.
I’ll be covering Fallout here on this blog as well, so stay tuned for more. And maybe I’ll just make my own Nuka-Burger while I’m at it. Nuka-Veggie-Burger and a side of Nuka-Cola that’s actually just Coca-Cola. I can dig it.
