KEF Music Gallery London is the new and latest addition to a series of KEF Experience Locations being created globally by the British speaker maker. The new space includes the KEF Music Gallery, KEF Music Studio, and KEF Music Lounge, where KEF’s motto of ‘Listen and believe’ comes to life.
The KEF Music Gallery London is something of a milestone for the loudspeaker brand. Located in the heart of central London, the Music Gallery will be a place to discover, explore and immerse in music, film, new artists and musicians, all powered by KEF technology.
KEF has collaborated with partners and a community of creators to create the Gallery which spreads over two floors and 5,000 square feet. The space provides visitors with an introduction to the world of KEF. Guests can access a selection of experiential zones and facilities where they will be encouraged to sit and listen.
The KEF Music Gallery London is the new global flagship for the company, joining similar high-profile spaces like the KEF Music Gallery Hong Kong and KEF Music Gallery Tokyo, which opened in December 2023.
“KEF Music Gallery London is our third and most ambitious flagship destination to date and illustrates our commitment to sharing the magic of great sound with consumers globally, and to provide our partners with a collaborative platform through which we can together deliver KEF’s unique immersive high-fidelity experiences to a wider audience,” said Grace Lo, KEF’s president and head of global marketing.
KEF Music Gallery London is designed as a destination for audiophiles, music and film lovers, music creators and makers. The Gallery is somewhere visitors can relax and discover soundscapes and audio design and is a mark of KEF’s commitment to design and was developed in partnership with renowned British architecture and interior design studio, Conran and Partners.
The Gallery is designed with high-quality materials and finishes, including an industrial palette of stainless steel, concrete as well as light and dark oak. It’s a contemporary environment with a residential feel, offering a striking alternative to traditional audio showrooms.
On the ground floor, The Gallery is an urban oasis and home to London’s ultimate high-fidelity café, KEFé. It’s a destination for music and coffee enthusiasts to listen to and enjoy an eclectic mix of classic and contemporary musical genres.
In the evenings, The Gallery will transform into a space for immersive music events where visitors can try out the latest KEF products and be the first to hear about the brand’s upcoming events and experiences.
The Gallery will also promote a year-round program of collaborative events, film screenings, as well as exclusive live and recorded music sessions, talks and interactive experiences.
The Studio is an intimate space adjacent to The Gallery for musicians, artists and collaborators to create and enjoy KEF audio. Equipped with excellent acoustics and engineered to minimize background noise, the room is equipped as a podcasting studio, recording space or intimate listening room. As a multi-purpose area, The Studio is designed as a nod to the anechoic chamber at KEF’s R&D center in Maidstone.
The Hub is a space designed for guests and hosting workshops. The focal point of The Hub is its four-meter-long table designed and built by British furniture maker Sebastian Cox and made from a single piece of Kentish oak.
The Hub is installed with KEF’s architectural in-ceiling speakers so guests can listen to the core architectural speaker ranges produced by the company. It also has dedicated conferencing mics to provide an acoustic platform for this kind of space.
The Living Room is a contemporary residential space with an inviting setting for experiencing soundscapes. The room will showcase KEF’s integrated and stand-alone sound systems all displayed in a home environment.
The Ultimate Experience Room is a special space for listening and experiencing technology such as the revered KEF Muon speakers. There is also a Dolby Atmos-enabled screening experience that features KEF Extreme Home Theatre Ci-Reference in-wall speakers and KEF subwoofers.
If you’re visiting London and fancy finding out what the new KEF Music Gallery London has to offer, you can find it at 42-48 Great Portland Street, London. It’s just a stone’s throw from BBC Broadcasting House.
