Samsung has revealed today that it has signed an exclusive deal with Activision making it the official TV, monitor, soundbar and even Wi-Fi speaker partner for upcoming FPS game, Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 4.

As well as getting Samsung products planted in the minds of the legions of Call Of Duty fans waiting on tenterhooks for the latest instalment of the gaming world’s most successful franchise, the Samsung/Activision partnership also includes some actual practical advantages for consumers, including Beta Early Access codes distributed through the Samsung Promotion App before the new game’s Open Beta begins; opportunities to play the game on premium Samsung Odyssey monitors at Gamescom (ahead of the game’s official October 23 release date); and the opportunity to experience what may well be the most premium use in the game world to date of Samsung’s HDR10+ high dynamic range format.

Samsung and Call Of Duty will integrate HDR10+ Gaming into the new Modern Warfare 4 entry in the franchise, helping, according to Samsung, to “deliver more accurate colour and contrast, supporting the immersive visual experience that reflects the creative intent of the developers.”

All of Samsung’s HDR-capable TVs and monitors can support HDR10+ gaming feeds now.

Modern Warfare 4 is also confirmed as officially supporting a 32:9 super ultra-wide aspect ratio that will enable Samsung Odyssey 9 monitor owners to experience a broader sense of space while playing the game.

“Samsung’s display and gaming technologies provide an exciting way to experience Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4,” says Cody Neal, Head of Partnerships at Activision. “Partnering with Samsung allows us to showcase the game with clarity, scale and responsiveness that complement the intensity at the heart of Call Of Duty.”

Beyond the in-game advantages Samsung is hoping to draw attention to through its partnership with Modern Warfare 4, owners of most Samsung TVs and some of its monitors will also be able to watch Call Of Duty: NEXT live through the Samsung Gaming Hub on August 21 at 9am PT (18.00 BST). Ahead of the event, a tune-in banner promoting Call Of Duty: NEXT will be featured in the Gaming Hub masthead.

The Samsung Promotion app Beta Early Access codes I mentioned earlier will give selected players an opportunity to experience the Modern Warfare 4 Beta from August 21-August 25, before the Open Beta begins on August 28. Users can check for Beta Early Access code availability and event details on the Samsung TV Gaming Hub.

This Hub, if you’re not familiar with it, is a dedicated menu screen in Samsung’s Tizen smart platform that allows users to play major cloud gaming services, including Xbox Cloud Gaming, and access supported services and content without switching devices.

The Gamescom 2026 event where attendees will be able to play Modern Warfare 4 on Samsung Odyssey monitors (and where Samsung will provide Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Vault Edition battlenet game codes to select players who visit the booth) is set to take place from August 26-30, in Cologne, Germany.

“We are pleased to be the official TV, monitor, soundbar and Wi-Fi speaker partner for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, bringing players a more immersive experience through Samsung’s premium display and audio technologies,” said Hun Lee, Executive Vice President of the Visual Display (VD) Business at Samsung Electronics. “We will continue working with leading developers to strengthen gaming experiences across our display portfolio.”
