Today’s Strands was a lesson in humility for your humblest of narrators. I was basically stuck from the beginning right up until the end. I couldn’t even guess the theme, even after I’d figured out most of the words. That’s a good sign. I complain, often and loudly, about how easy this game is. It’s refreshing to get a hard puzzle like this one.
Strands is the newest game in the New York Times’ stable of puzzle games. It’s a fun twist on classic word search games. Every day we’re given a new theme and then tasked with uncovering all the words on the grid that fit that theme, including a spangram that spans two sides of the board. Let’s solve today’s, shall we?

Today’s Strands Breakdown
As someone who is currently trying very hard to get good at yoga, all I can say is that today’s Strands was pretty humiliating. I had a terrible time figuring this one out, even after I’d found TREE and CROW and WARRIOR. Unlike most days, I didn’t find the spangram until every other word, and I used a few hints along the way. Truly, this was the most challenging Strands I’ve played in weeks, and I tip my hat to the puzzle’s creators, because this was a MOUNTAIN of a challenge. CHAIR? COBRA? I simply couldn’t figure out how these words fit a theme, which is preposterous given how much yoga I do these day. Oy vey!
