The Australian maker of microphones and AV gear for the creative industries has announced the return of the RØDE Creator of the Year Awards, a global celebration of content creators.
RØDE has a history of championing content creators and following on from the success of last year’s awards, 2025 will recognize and reward some of the world’s most inspiring talent currently posting on YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and other leading platforms.
“Creativity is part of RØDE’s DNA, so it’s only natural that we celebrate those who use our products to bring their vision to life,” says RØDE CEO Damien Wilson. “Last year, we were blown away by the incredible talent from every corner of the globe. This year, we are excited to build on that legacy, providing a platform to amplify the voices of the next generation.”
Awards Mean Prizes
This year’s competition has a refined structure consisting of 18 awards, made up of three major categories alongside 15 individual Spotlight Awards. Entrants will be competing for a share of more than $200,000 in cash and prizes. The awards are supported by creative and technology partners including Mackie, Canon UK, Nothing, Nanlite, Urth Lenses, Notion, Artlist, SanDisk, Espresso Displays and Miller.
The three major awards are Creator of the Year, which is the top honor and recognizes outstanding talent and exceptional cultural impact with a prize of $25,000 in cash and a major prize pack.
The Emerging Creator of the Year Award celebrates the next generation of upcoming talent and is aimed specifically at content creators who are new to the scene. The winner will receive $10,000 in cash and a major prize pack.
Finally, the last major award is The People’s Choice. This will go to the most popular creator chosen by public voters and the winner will be rewarded with $10,000 in cash and will receive a major prize pack.
In addition to the three major awards, this year there are 15 individual Spotlight Awards that are designed to recognize excellence and originality across a whole range of creative disciplines which will be revealed when the finalists are announced. Each winner of a Spotlight Award will walk away with $5,000 in cash and a minor prize pack.
All of the shortlisted entries, apart from The People’s Choice Award, will be chosen by RØDE’s global judging team. The People’s Choice Award will be decided by a public vote and those taking part in the voting will also be in with a chance to win one of ten exclusive Voter Prize Packs that will be given out at the conclusion of the competition.
How To Enter
Entering the RØDE Creator of the Year Awards is simple and designed to be accessible to all content creators. Entrants can visit creatorawards.rode.com and complete the submission form before the closing date of October 30, 2025.
Entrants will need to provide a link to their nominated channel on the platform that best showcases their work. The judging panel will review all submissions before placing shortlisted entries into the most appropriate categories for consideration.
All shortlisted entrants will receive a RØDE Creator Pack, including merchandise, gear and an official certificate of recognition. If a creator is successfully shortlisted for The People’s Choice Award, community voting for the finalists will run from November 6 to 19. Winners of all categories will be revealed on RØDE’s Creator of the Year website on November 20, 2025.
