In the last few weeks, we have seen Samsung give away free laptops to Galaxy Z Fold 7 buyers, alongside a handful of voucher codes that knocked some money off the foldable phone. Now, the Galaxy S25 Ultra has received its own serious discount.
The deal comes from Amazon, which has dropped the price of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra by $300. This brings the final price down to $999 for the 256GB model, representing a 23% discount for the unlocked phone.
As is always the case with Amazon sales, this is a no-thrills deal. There’s no free laptop, no voucher codes, no free headphones (although you can bundle the Galaxy Buds 3 with the phone for a discounted price) and no enhanced trade-in prices. You can trade your phone in, but the valuations don’t come close to what Samsung will pay you for your used handset.
Here’s a quick breakdown of how Amazon’s trade-in prices compare to Samsung’s. I’ve selected a mix of newer devices and phones to trade in that are a couple of years old, rather than the latest devices that are often subject to inflated valuations for marketing reasons. Older phones generally tell the real story of a company’s trade-in game. All of the prices listed below are for 256GB models.

With the exception of the Pixel 9 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max, Samsung comfortably beats Amazon’s prices. But that isn’t the full story.
Amazon Still Has The Better Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra Deal
You can get a similar deal on Samsung, which has officially discounted the Galaxy S25 Ultra by $50. But if you don’t have a phone to trade in, the company will knock a further $250 off. That brings the 256GB model down $999, the same as Amazon’s price. The difference is that Amazon’s promotion allows you to trade-in your phone and still receive the $300 discount, so it is the better deal because Samsung will only knock the full $300 off if you have nothing to trade in.
On the flipside, buying through Samsung means you also get free subscriptions to LumaFusion and Adobe Lightroom, if that matters to you. If you buy through the Samsung Shop app, the Korean company will knock a further 5% off the total price if the code “APP5” is used, too.
