Spence Jr. Vs. Tszyu Live Results Tracker, Highlights And Scorecards

Errol Spence Jr. and Tim Tszyu are set to clash in a high-stakes crossroads battle at 160 pounds. The two former champions come into the fight badly in need of a victory over a major opponent and with little room for error. The fight takes place in Tszyu’s home country of Australia and it will top off a solid but recently weakened card. Let’s talk boxing.

Spence-Tszyu Results

Keep Refreshing for latest updates

Sixth Round – Tszyu Takes the Momentum Back (57-57)

Tszyu did better work with combinations and kept Spence on retreat. We’ll see if Spence can reverse the tide again.

Fifth Round – Spence Rebounds (48-47 Spence)

We’re going back and forth in this one. It’s a good competitive fight, but both men are clearly past their prime. Tszyu has allowed Spence to outwork him in three of the five rounds, and those are the ones the American has won.

Fourth Round – Tszyu Woke Up (38-38)

Tszyu started to make Spence pay for reaching and leaning, and it resulted in his best round of the fight. Spence must do something to stop the momentum in the fifth.

Third Round – Spence is Getting Better With Each Round (Spence 29-28)

I’m wondering what’s happening with Tszyu. I don’t think he is taking advantage of openings Spence is providing him with clumsiness. As it is, Spence’s body work and pressure is winning him rounds.

Second Round – Much Better Performance From Spence (19-19)

Spence is still falling in, but he found the mark a lot more with body shots and a hard straight left late in the round. I have it even after two rounds. Tszyu still looks more fit, but he lost that round.

First Round – Spence Looks Shaky (10-9 Tszyu)

Spence’s balance doesn’t look good and he doesn’t look confident. Tszyu looks to be in charge early. If he cannot find some kind of a rhythm, Tszyu could dissect him or floor him with something big.

Spence-Tszyu Walkouts Have Begun…

Ahmad Reda def. Paul Fleming (95-91, 97-93, 94-92) via Unanimous Decision

The co-main event wasn’t supposed to be in that spot, but Stephen Fulton’s massive weight miss forced this fight into the position. It was mostly one-sided in favor of Reda, though the 10th round had some action.

By this time in the evening, the crowd and myself are simply ready for the main event. I’ll forget I watched this fight by tomorrow.

Callum Peters def. Ivan Ricardo Actis via 7th-Round TKO

Actis was active and aggressive taking the fight to Peters. Unfortunately for Actis, Peters was more than up to the challenge.

Peters was winning every round and ultimately secured the stoppage win in the seventh when referee Will Soulos called an end to the bout.

Paulo Aokuso def. Luis Antonio Tejeda via 10th-Round KO

After an up-and-down performance through parts of the first nine rounds, Aokuso delivered an explosive one-punch KO that left Tejeda out cold, lying flat on his back.

It’s one of the KO’s of the year in boxing.

Tejeda had some definite moments in this fight with his pressure and stamina, but he got too careless defensively and paid for it.

Results and scorecards post here as each bout ends, main event first. Ring-walk timing slides with how the undercard runs, so the later fights may land earlier or later than the estimates below.

  • Errol Spence Jr. vs. Tim Tszyu, middleweight —
  • Paul Fleming vs. Ahmad Reda, lightweight —
  • Paulo Aokuso def. Luis Antonio Tejeda via 10th-round KO to win the vacant IBF Inter-Continental light heavyweight title
  • Callum Peters def. Ivan Actis via 7th-round TKO, middleweight —

Spence-Tszyu Full Card and Start Times

The main card opens at 9 p.m. ET with Peters and Actis, and Spence and Tszyu are penciled for roughly 11:30 p.m. ET. No Limit has not published a bout-by-bout running sheet, so the times below are estimates spaced across that window rather than posted ring walks.

This card has been gutted twice in a week. Jermall Charlo vs. Koen Mazoudier fell out on a visa denial, then Fulton missed the 133-pound catchweight by 6.5 pounds and his fight with Liam Wilson was scrapped on the spot. Aokuso vs. Tejeda was promoted to the main card to backfill. My full card and viewing breakdown has the broadcast details.

  • 9 p.m. ET — Callum Peters vs. Ivan Actis, middleweight
  • 9:35 p.m. ET — Tina Rahimi vs. Sacha Ryan Dryden
  • 10:10 p.m. ET — Paulo Aokuso vs. Luis Antonio Tejeda, vacant IBF Inter-Continental light heavyweight title
  • 10:45 p.m. ET — Paul Fleming vs. Ahmad Reda, lightweight
  • 11:30 p.m. ET — Errol Spence Jr. vs. Tim Tszyu, middleweight

What’s At Stake For Errol Spence Jr?

A Spence loss could and should lead to an immediate retirement. He’s 36 and he’s been out of the ring nearly three years exactly. His last fight was a brutal TKO loss to Terence Crawford in 2023. He can ill afford to lose to Tszyu and even more, taking significant damage is obviously a no-no.

He is also two divisions north of where he built his name, working with Ronnie Shields, and walking into hostile territory to do it. The weigh-in and ring-walk breakdown has the rest of the numbers.

How Good Is Tim Tszyu Right Now?

Tszyu has won two in a row since he went through his rough patch and losing his title to Sebastian Fundora, dropping the rematch and being stopped by Bakhram Murtazaliev. However, he hasn’t been in with top competition. If he can’t beat Spence, he’ll too be considered washed by many in the boxing community.

The one number in his favor is geography. Tszyu has never lost on home soil, and this is his middleweight debut in front of a Sydney crowd. Saturday also runs wall-to-wall, with Joshua and Prenga in Jeddah hours before this one starts.
