The gaming world’s been all abuzz about one particular game so far this year, Palworld. The survival game with a Pokémon-style twist has sold more than 12 million copies on Steam (and has more than 9 million Xbox players). Despite the game’s massive popularity, it’s not the king of the Steam Deck just yet.
Once again, Baldur’s Gate 3 took the top honors as the most-played game on Steam Deck in January. Palworld was in second place, followed by Elden Ring, Monster Hunter: World and Cyberpunk 2077. Stardew Valley, Dave the Diver, Hogwarts Legacy, Grand Theft Auto V and Vampire Survivors round out the top 10.
Baldur’s Gate 3 has topped the chart every month since August. It came out of early access at the beginning of that month. In fairness, Palworld dropped on January 19th, so it doesn’t have a full month under its belt yet. That makes its second-place debut all the more impressive. Still, while Palworld has been breaking all kinds of records, it hasn’t quite been able to topple Larian’s all-conquering CRPG on the Steam Deck most-played chart.
