Terence Crawford Vs. Israil Madrimov: Date, Time And How To Watch

August 3 will be a historic night in boxing and hip-hop.

WBA super welterweight champion Israil Madrimov will defend his title against pound-for-pound great Terence Crawford in the main event of the first-ever Riyadh Season event in the United States.

In addition to the card, hip-hop icon Eminem will perform during the show.

Here is all of watch information for the event.

  • Date: Saturday, August 3
  • Start time: 4:30 p.m. ET
  • Stream: DAZN, PPV.com and ESPN+
  • Venue: BMO Stadium in Los Angeles, California

Crawford will challenge Uzbekistan’s Madrimov to become a four-division champion. Both men are undefeated, though Madrimov has only 11 professional fights. Madrimov compiled a 78-19 record as an amateur and is 10-0-1 with 7 KOs as a professional.

He is known for his muscular physique, knockout power, and sneaky explosiveness. While he’s a relative unknown to many American boxing fans, he’s anything but a walkover fight for Crawford.

Madrimov is an excellent boxer with a strong pedigree, having emerged from Uzbekistan’s formidable boxing ranks. Crawford (40-0, 31 KO) is coming to the back nine of his career, but still arguably the best fighter in the world. He’s already accomplished enough to secure a spot in the International Boxing Hall of Fame, but he’s looking for more with a title in a fourth weight class.

If he beats Madrimov, he’ll likely be searching for bigger paydays with a potential rematch with Errol Spence and, ultimately, a dream clash with 168-pound champion Canelo Alvarez. The rest of the card is also compelling. WBA 140-pound champion Isaac “Pitbull” Cruz (26-2-1, 18 KOs) has the first defense of his title against Jose “El Rayo” Valenzuela (13-2, 9 KOs).

Cruz’s fights are especially interesting because he could be a future opponent for Shakur Stevenson, Gervonta Davis, Devin Haney, or even Ryan Garcia–should he find his way back to the boxing ring for a professional match. Former unified heavyweight world champion Andy Ruiz Jr. (35-2, 22 KOs) returns on the card. It’s been two years since he fought, but he will face Jarrell “Big Baby” Miller (26-1-1, 22 KOs).

Miller is coming off the first stoppage loss of his boxing career, a 10th-round TKO at the hands of Daniel DuBois. Young undefeated American heavyweight contender Jared Anderson (17-0, 15 KOs) battles Martin Bakole (20-1, 15 KOs) in a significant step up in competition for the American.

Bakole’s spot was initially set for Deontay Wilder, but the latter’s devastating loss to Zhilei Zhang knocked him out of contention. Cuba’s David Morrell Jr. (10-0, 9 KOs) will also try to remain undefeated while running his consecutive KO streak to eight when he faces Radivoje Kalajdzic (29-2, 21 KOs) for the WBA “Regular” Light Heavyweight Title.

Also, Cuban Olympic gold medalist Andy Cruz (3-0, 1 KO) will get a stiff test early in his professional career when he faces veteran Antonio Moran (30-6-1, 21 KOs) in a 10-round fight.

Be on the lookout for coverage the night of the fight and after Eminem’s performance.
