In case you missed Friday’s NYT Mini, you can find the answers here:
Wondering what viral pygmy hippo was parodized on Weekend Update? Not sure what an ancient builder of Machu Picchu is? Don’t worry, because I’m here to help you with the answers for today’s NYT Mini crossword.
The NYT Mini is a quick and dirty version of the newspaper’s larger and long-running crossword. Most days, there are between three and five clues in each direction on a five by five grid, but the puzzles are sometimes larger, especially on Saturdays.
Unlike its larger sibling, the NYT Mini crossword is free to play on the New York Times website or NYT Games app. However, you’ll need an NYT Games subscription to access previous puzzles in the archives.
To help you avoid getting stuck and having to reveal missing letters, here are the NYT Mini Crossword answers for Saturday, November 2 (spoilers lie ahead, of course):

It took me 3:17 to fail to complete today’s NYT Mini.
If you look closely at the screenshot, you’ll see a little red marker in one of the squares. That’s because I failed to fully complete the crossword. I thought I was done, but the game told me I had at least one square wrong.
After spending a good minute looking for it, I couldn’t see where I’d erred. So I gave up and revealed the puzzle, only find out that I’d incorrectly submitted “Inka” and “EKG” instead of INCA and ECG. Ugh. That’s annoying! Better luck tomorrow, I suppose.
