Today’s NYT Mini Crossword Clues And Answers For Thursday, March 6th

In case you missed Wednesday’s NYT Mini Crossword puzzle, you can find the answers here:

Another day, another NYT Mini Crossword to solve! This one is brought to you by the letter ‘Z’. It also has some fun stuff from Nintendo games and Lord of the Rings. My kind of puzzle! Let’s solve it . . . .

The NYT Mini is a smaller, quicker, more digestible, bite-sized version of the larger and more challenging NYT Crossword, and unlike its larger sibling, it’s free-to-play without a subscription to The New York Times. You can play it on the web or the app, though you’ll need the app to tackle the archive.

Spoilers ahead!

ACROSS

1- Sound of mosquito electrocution — ZAP

4- Niche publication printed in small batches — ZINE

5- Nintendo princess — ZELDA

6- Malevolent creatures in “The Lord of the Rings” — ORCS

7- Cry of delight — OOH

DOWN

1- Zip — ZILCH

2- “No ifs, ___ or buts” — ANDS

3- Sphere in a stir fry — PEA

4- Zip — ZERO

5- What parents with toddlers might compare their household to — ZOO

This was a fun one, and probably the most words starting with the letter ‘Z’ I’ve ever seen in a Mini. I also liked that we had princess ZELDA and some Middle-earth ORCS to round things out. A lovely crossword all around that took me 1:08 today.

How did you do? Let me know on Twitter, Instagram or Facebook.

If you also play Wordle, I write guides about that as well. You can find those and all my TV guides, reviews and much more here on my blog. Thanks for reading!
