The week is flying by. I’ve been enjoying some home alone time, a rare thing over the past few years, and getting some work around the house done. I’m also trying to catch up on the various shows I’m behind on. And I’ve been working on a tabletop roleplaying game that I’m designing. Busy busy bee. On top of all that, we have all these NYT Games puzzles to solve. Let’s take a crack at today’s Mini Crossword, shall we?

The NYT Mini is a smaller, quicker, more digestible, bite-sized version of the larger and more challenging NYT Crossword, and unlike its larger sibling, it’s free-to-play without a subscription to The New York Times. You can play it on the web or the app, though you’ll need the app to tackle the archive.

I solved these pretty quickly. I jumped around a bit, opening with HOST and POUTY, then moving over to DOWNs with HOPED, OUTTA, STORM and TYPO. All that left was a big cat: PUMA and this one was done. 44 seconds…not too shabby.
