We have come, once again, to the weekend. Saturday and another Wordle to solve, and hopefully some other fun things to do. I don’t really have plans—whatever plans I once thought I might have all been tossed in the bin—so I plan on doing house work and hopefully getting outside while it’s still relatively nice out. Though, as I typed this I checked the weather and we’re projected for a high of 38, which isn’t all that nice. Next weekend is warmer, jumping up into the high 50s’ and low 60s’.
Maybe I’ll stay inside and play video games instead! For now, let’s solve this Wordle!

A very lucky day for yours truly. SLOPE nabbed me two yellow boxes and left just 37 remaining possible solutions. I wanted to move those yellow boxes into green if possible, and for whatever reason I came up with BISON, which ended up being a terrifically lucky word, though not as lucky as guessing in just two. I had to puzzle it out for a spell, but eventually I only came up with VISOR and sure enough, that was the Wordle. Huzzah!

Just like yesterday, I get 1 point for guessing in three and 0 for tying the Bot. 1 point for me!
How To Play Competitive Wordle
- Guessing in 1 is worth 3 points; guessing in 2 is worth 2 points; guessing in 3 is worth 1 point; guessing in 4 is worth 0 points; guessing in 5 is -1 points; guessing in 6 is -2 points and missing the Wordle is -3 points.
- If you beat your opponent you get 1 point. If you tie, you get 0 points. And if you lose to your opponent, you get -1 point. Add it up to get your score. Keep a daily running score or just play for a new score each day.
- Fridays are 2XP, meaning you double your points—positive or negative.
- You can keep a running tally or just play day-by-day. Enjoy!
Today’s Wordle Etymology
The word visor originates from the Old French visiere, which means “a frontal part of a helmet” or “a mask,” derived from vis, meaning “face” or “sight.” This, in turn, traces back to the Latin visus, meaning “sight” or “appearance,” from videre, “to see.” The term evolved to refer to any protective or shielding covering, particularly for the face or eyes.
