Following Amazon’s Galaxy S25 Ultra price drop, and the new iPhone 16 reduction, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 has received an even bigger discount in a new promotion.
The retailer has slashed the price of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 by $400 in a limited-time deal, bringing the foldable down to $1,599.99 for the 256GB model. For reference, Samsung is still charging the full $1,999.99 for the Fold 7.
For an extra $120, Galaxy Z Fold 7 buyers can bundle the Galaxy Buds3 Pro earbuds with the device, which normally retail for $199.99. Bundling a discounted accessory (in this case, Samsung’s best earbuds) with a huge discount is a rare move for Amazon.
The company often has the best prices for smartphones on the web, but it falls down when it comes to trade-in prices and giving away free accessories. Samsung remains the best place for both. The Korean company recently gifted free laptops, watches and earbuds to Galaxy phone buyers. But this $1,784.98 Amazon bundle is still $215 cheaper than Samsung’s base Galaxy Z Fold 7 price.
If you have been planning to buy the Galaxy Z Fold 7, this is the deal to take advantage of. There will be more price drops as we edge closer to Black Friday, but I’m not sure prices will drop this far, or further, until 2026.
The only downside to this deal is that Amazon’s trade-in prices remain poor. For example, the retailer will pay $400 for the Galaxy S23 Ultra, whereas Samsung values the phone at $600. The Galaxy S22 Ultra is priced at $160, while Samsung will pay $500 for it. That gap continues to widen the older your used phone is.
You will have to do some back-of-the-napkin calculations to see if your trade-in valuation is more or less than Amazon’s discount. That will depend on what phone you have. Don’t forget, those trade-in prices are estimates. Samsung and Amazon reserve the right to pay you less (you won’t get more, unless you’re trading in with Google) if the phone has cosmetic or functionality issues.
Don’t Miss This Deal, But Samsung Will Have Its Own Major Galaxy Z Fold 7 Promotion Soon
This is the best deal I have seen for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 so far. You should act on it if you have had your eye on the foldable phone. There will be more Fold 7 discounts, however. I’m reliably told that Samsung is planning a major promotion next week that will discount most of its mobile phones and devices.
Black Friday also looms large on the horizon. Samsung is very aggressive when it comes to pricing on, or around, Black Friday. Last October, the Korean company dropped the Galaxy Z Fold 6 price by $500. I expect this type of deal, and more, throughout November. Despite Samsung phones retaining more of their value than ever before, smartphone prices only trend downward. You will save some money on the Galaxy Z Fold 7 before the end of 2025.
