The Gundam Marchosias Is Getting A Very Nice Metal Robot Damashii Toy

The Gundam Marchosias Is Getting A Very Nice Metal Robot Damashii Toy

With the upcoming Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans movie, Urdr-Hunt, on the way, we now have a gorgeous Gundam Marchosias toy to look forward to.

Specifically, this is a Metal Robot Damashii toy of the Gundam Marchosias, which means it will include a lot of die-cast parts for strength and stability.

The Premium Bandai pre-order page shows just how much of the inner frame will use die-cast, and that’s a good thing, as this is quite an involved and complex design.

It also comes with all manner of extra parts, such as swords and different hands, not to mention a nice stand and even a cape.

Urdr-Hunt started off as a mobile game with animated segments, but that’s all getting a big upgrade at the end of this month, when it gets a theatrical release as Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans Urdr-Hunt Special Edition: Path of the Little Challenger.

While that is a bit of a mouthful, I am genuinely glad we are seeing the story for Urdr-Hunt being given a wider release, as it has some interesting story beats that tie into the backstory behind Iron-Blooded Orphans.

Not to mention that this year already marks the 10th anniversary of Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans, which I thought was a solid show and sort of a high-speed version of Fang of the Sun Dougram, at least when it came to the mecha combat.

As for this toy of the Gundam Marchosias, pre-orders start today in Japan, with it being released in May next year. The price point is also pretty steep for a Metal Robot Damashii release, coming in at 29,700 yen (or around $193 at the current exchange rate).

Much like its host anime, I also expect this toy to come Westward in the coming year, if not sooner.

Follow me on X, Facebook and YouTube. I also manage Mecha Damashii and am currently featured in the Giant Robots exhibition currently touring Japan.
