Apple iPad Air (M1) Just Dropped To Record Low Prices Right Now

Apple iPad Air (M1) Just Dropped To Record Low Prices Right Now

If you’ve been thinking of a new iPad Air, this is the perfect moment to buy one. You can either snap up the all-new model that was revealed on Tuesday, May 7, or if you move fast, you can catch the last-gen model at its lowest prices ever.

The previous model (5th generation) is powered by the M1 processor, and it’s fast and capable. Although the new model is much, much faster, for many people, the M1 model will be easily capable enough. And it’s a lot cheaper.

Apple doesn’t sell the 5th-generation iPad Air any more, retiring it when the new model was unveiled. So, you’ll need to look elsewhere.

The good news is that Amazon has it for the lowest-price ever. The better news is that the reduced price is not just for one color, it’s for all five of them. And the even better news is there are big reductions not only for the 64GB storage model, but the 256GB version, too.

Those discounts are impressive. For the iPad Air 5th generation with wi-fi connectivity and 64GB storage, in Space Gray, Blue, Pink, Purple and Starlight, there’s a full 25% off. This means the original $599 sticker is reduced by $150 to just $449.

Suppose you want more storage? Then you want to plump for the 256GB option. That would normally cost you $749, but there’s 20% off the price with this model, too, reducing it by the same $150 discount, to $599. And again, that applies to all five colors.

How about if you want to be able to connect to the internet even when you’re not in a wi-fi area? For this, you need the model with wi-fi and cellular connectivity, which comes at a premium.

For the 64GB option, the regular price was $749, but Amazon has a 20% price drop here, taking it down by $150, to $599. Once again, all five colors are available at this special price.

And finally, the 256GB storage option with wi-fi and cellular also has $150 lopped off the price, taking it down from $899 to $749, a 17% reduction.

And yes, you’ve guessed it, all five colors are at this price.

In other words, every version of iPad Air is currently $150 off at Amazon, though these prices may not last long.

So, should you snap up a bargain or hold out for the sixth-generation model? The new edition has a slightly bigger display (11 inches instead of 10.9 inches) and additionally has greater storage in the entry-level configuration (128GB instead of 64GB). It’ll have a faster processor and a brighter display. These are updates worth having—but you’ll have to pay more for them.

For many people, the prospect of a handsome iPad Air—in more colors than the version that succeeds it— with $150 will rightly be hard to resist.
