Creative’s New Aurvana Ace Mimi Personalized Wireless Earbuds

As technology advances, so does the opportunity to create products that can be personalized to suit individuals with a bespoke setting. One of the latest audio brands to produce a pair of earbuds that can be tailored to a user’s specific hearing is Creative Technology. The brand has teamed up with a company called Mimi for the launch of the Aurvana Ace Mimi.

These new TWS earbuds are the latest in Creative’s Aurvana series and the collaboration with Mimi puts users in the driving seat by offering them customized audio that’s fine-tuned to a user’s unique hearing profiles.

The earbuds are also equipped with the latest xMEMS dual-driver system and can support LDAC over Bluetooth for a superbly clear sound that caters to everyone’s specific hearing profile, increasing the level of detail and tone in music by making every note and beat more immersive and personalized.

Combining Creative’s earbud know-how with Mimi’s innovative sound personalization technology, the Aurvana Ace Mimi TWS earbuds can boost a user’s favorite music by uncovering subtle details and nuances that they might not hear otherwise.

Mimi Sound Personalization fine-tunes audio to reveal details that might otherwise be missed. Mimi claims the outcome is a richer and more enjoyable listening experience, enabling users to immerse themselves in their favorite content without needing to turn up the volume, possibly protecting and preserving their hearing over time.

After a quick hearing test using the Creative App, users of the Aurvana Ace Mimi get a personalized sound profile based on their unique hearing abilities. Everyone’s hearing can be influenced by genetics, age and even listening habits. By shaping the EQ of the sound to suit a user’s left and right ears, Mimi can bring out intricate details in a favorite track or even make dialog in a podcast clearer.

Because the sound is specifically tuned for the individual, the Aurvana Ace Mimi is more likely to appeal because the listening tests plug the gap in the user’s hearing profile. Creative isn’t the only brand to offer personalized hearing as it’s a feature being rolled out across the earbud industry. However, Creative is leading the way with the implementation of XMEMs drivers, tiny surface-mount speakers with the ability to articulate sound with impressive quality.

As well as sound personalization, the Aurvana Ace Mimi offers an array of useful features for enhancing the listening experience. The earbuds can play for up to 28 hours of total playtime with the ANC function turned off. Equipped with Bluetooth 5.3 and LE Audio, the new earbuds offer a low latency mode and support Auracast for receiving mass Bluetooth broadcast, a feature that can be a huge help for people with hearing loss or just someone who wants to pick up the audio from an Auracast-enabled TV in a sports bar.

The Aurvana Ace Mimi is fitted with six separate microphones for clear phone and video calls with effective noise reduction when communicating. The earbuds also have active noise cancelation with an ambient mode for being able to hear announcements or talk with someone without having to remove the earbuds. Alongside the USB charging of the earbuds and their storage case, the Aurvana Ace Mimi can also be topped up by wireless charging with any Qi-compatible charging mat.

Florian Schneidmadel is CEO of Mimi Hearing Technologies and had this to say about the collaboration: “We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Creative. As our first integration partner to offer the Mimi Pure Tone Threshold test on their headphones, This collaboration represents a significant leap forward in making hearing health technology more accessible and user-friendly, allowing listeners to optimize their sound experience like never before.”

Meanwhile, Song Siow Hui, CEO of Creative added: “This collaboration with Mimi Hearing Technologies allows us to bring personalized audio to a wider audience. What we’ve done with the Aurvana Ace Mimi is to ensure that everyone can experience sound in a way that’s perfect for them. It’s about more than just hearing better; it’s about making every listening moment more enjoyable.”
