Fosi Audio has launched the BT20A MAX, the company’s most advanced and powerful BT20A-series amplifier to date. Designed for music lovers looking for powerful performance in a compact size, the BT20A MAX has high-output Class-D amplification and made with premium internal components and next-generation Bluetooth connectivity.
At the heart of the BT20A MAX is a Texas Instruments TPA3255 amplifier chip, capable of up to 300W per channel of peak power and 180W per channel RMS at 4Ω. Paired with Post-Filter Feedback technology, the amp offers ultra-low distortion, high signal-to-noise ratio and consistent performance under a range of speaker loads. Independent digital and analog power supplies, along with ELNA capacitors, deliver clarity, dynamics and tonal accuracy.
Built for modern audio systems, the BT20A MAX supports 2.1-channel output and has dual RCA inputs, passive speaker terminals, plus a dedicated subwoofer output. There is a selectable high-pass filter at 80Hz to improve vocal clarity when paired with a subwoofer. The amp also has bass and treble controls with an EQ bypass mode for tweaking the sound or preserving the original signal path.
Small Price, Big Sound
The BT20A MAX is designed for desktop use and is aimed at budget-conscious audio enthusiasts looking for strong performance but without the size or complexity of a full-size integrated amplifier. Its compact footprint makes it easy to use with a pair of bookshelf speakers in small listening spaces. Its output power, subwoofer integration and advanced Bluetooth support mean it can be scaled up for use with more ambitious 2.1 systems.
Wireless performance is supported by a Qualcomm QCC3095 Bluetooth chipset, with support for Bluetooth 6.0 and a wide range of high-resolution codecs, including aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, and LDAC. This provides stable, low-latency, high-resolution streaming from smartphones, tablets and computers.
Additional features include a motorized analog potentiometer for precise volume control using the included remote. There’s also 12V trigger support for system automation, plus an active cooling design with a silent fan and ventilation, which Fosi claims improves cooling efficiency by up to 30% during extended listening sessions.
“With the BT20A MAX, we wanted to push the BT20A platform to its full potential,” says Ryan Huang, Fosi Audio’s founder and CEO. “From power and Bluetooth performance to sound tuning flexibility and thermal design, this amplifier is built to deliver a truly refined listening experience in a compact and affordable package.”
