The current arcade iteration of Gundam Extreme Versus 2 Over Boost will be playable in Bandai Namco’s Cross Store in Brooklyn, New York.
To give a bit of background, Gundam Extreme Versus 2 is based on the Gundam Versus engine and not the older engine used in Gundam Extreme Versus, which was developed originally by Byking.
However, the Over Boost title means it has already had one round of balancing based on player feedback and other data. That means that it’s more of a legitimate multiplayer game over the purely console Gundam Versus release.
What with location tests for Gundam Extreme Versus 2 Infinite Boost in Japan starting next week, it makes sense that Bandai Namco would start to bring the prior arcade release Westward in a limited way.
Specifically, if you want to play Gundam Extreme Versus 2 Over Boost then you need to head over to the Bandai Namco Cross Store in Brooklyn, New York (you can find it here).
This new Bandai Namco Cross Store has only just been recently opened and has seen an overwhelming response from fans.
As an aside, Gundam Extreme Versus Maxiboost ON is still readily playable on PlayStation 4 and, by extension, PlayStation 5. It is also thoroughly excellent and one of the best mecha multiplayer games ever made.
The Bandai Namco Cross Store in Brooklyn, New York, is open from 11 am until 8 pm.
