New leaks have revealed an impressive-looking upgrade for Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 6…
Details on the new design and colors come from industry analyst Ross Young. While more colors may be added at a later date—Samsung has a tendency to offer exclusive offers to online customers and pre-ordered handsets—the base colors of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 will be dark blue, light pink, and silver. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 will be initially offered in light blue, light green, silver, and yellow.
While the latest cosmetic details may seem inconsequential to those who would rather compare the numbers and specs from the various leaks, the impact of different colours on any smartphone cannot be discounted.
New colours can spark renewed interest in the market, allow many consumers to reconsider switching to a new phone and perhaps even a new company, and allow for new approaches when making handsets. With Samsung expected to push foldable phones into the wider consumer market, the latest colors could be just as important as a slightly less visible fold or an increased battery life.
That’s not to say there aren’t any changes. While they will be subtle, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 is expected to have a slightly more boxy design. This should offer more internal space for a larger battery, an improved camera, and potentially a storage slot for Samsung’s Galaxy S-pen stylus.
