A new event has kicked off in Escape From Tarkov that adds a new quest line where you must choose a side in an arms race between Prapor and Peacekeeper.
The new event is live now and features a chain of new in game quests for players to complete. The opening quest requires you to kill scavs on Factory and hand over their weapons as some of the in game traders start to gear up for an arms race. It currently isn’t known what the further quests will involve, but given the theme it wouldn’t be a surprise if collecting weapons becomes a regular job.
Early players have discovered that many scavs on all maps are spawning with two weapons, the second of which appears to be a much higher quality than usual scav weapons but has very low durability. It’s very likely that these weapons will play a big part in the event going forward.
In a post on X, formerly Twitter, the official Escape From Tarkov account revealed that as the quest line progresses you will have to pick a side to be on. Some rewards will be based on the side you pick and how well it does compared to the other, so make sure you pick wisely to get the full rewards when the event comes to a close.
As usual, once you complete the quest line for the event you will get an exclusive in-game achievement that will not be available once it ends. For this reward it doesn’t matter what side you are on, so you don’t need to worry about missing out on that.
This appears to be one of the first end of wipe events that we have been expecting for a while given the next wipe is due to arrive in August. Just yesterday a new feature was teased for the wipe, that led to players speculating that an event was just around the corner.
How To Complete The Import Control Quest In Escape From Tarkov
The first quest of the new event is called Import Control and is actually very easy to complete. It will be given to you by Mechanic, who explains that Prapor and Peacekeeper are in an arms race and so he’s trying to get some of the top tier guns they have supplied to scavs.
To complete the Import Control quest, all you have to do is kill 10 scavs on Factory, and then hand over five of the western weapons they will be carrying. It seems that all scavs are now carrying an extra weapon, such as an MK16, that has low durability. So it might not be much use to you for killing other scavs, but it is what you need to turn in.
Once you’ve killed 10 scavs and collected five weapons simply extract with them and hand them over to Mechanic, once you have done this the quest will complete and you can continue down the quest path for the rest of the event.
